Publisher's summary

Are you stressed and upset by your IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)? Do you feel that your life is out of control? Would you like to feel more relaxed and calm? IBS can come to rule sufferer’s lives. This audio is designed to help you learn to relax and be calmer about your IBS symptoms and to help you think differently about your relationship with your IBS.

'The River' is based on the work of Dr Peter Whorwell, who uses hypnosis with many of his IBS patients within the NHS. It guides you to imagine your gut as a river and helps you to regulate the flow of this river and learn to be more calm and relaxed. It's a cognitive approach to help you explore how you think and what you believe about your IBS. Based on cognitive behaviour therapy, this audio will help you to challenge your thoughts and beliefs about IBS and how it impacts your life. It includes a self-hypnosis process - 'A Special Place' - which guides you to create a place where you can go, in your mind’s eye, to help you be more relaxed, happier, and calmer.

The tracks contain background music, supplied by Royalty Free Tunes, Tranquil Moods, Volume 1.

Customer Feedback: 'I still have my IBS, but now, if I feel the symptoms coming on, I just handle it better. IBS doesn’t control my life any more; I do. It’s nice to feel normal.'
