Their story was full of emotion and heart. I loved their growth and how they finally came together. What I love is the brotherhood that this group of men have. How they will do anything for each other no matter what.
Maxine Mitchel and John Lane brought the story to another level with the narration. It was great to listen and feel the emotion of Melanie’s words brought to life.
I can’t wait to continue on this journey and get to Reid’s story. He is the one I have anticipated the most.

Series - Book three
Maddox is book 3 in the vested series.
In the first book and the second book you only get some bits and pieces of who Maddox is until the third book when it's all about him, his friends and of course D.
The Prologue of Maddox during his younger years as a child, teenager and young adult helped me understand him so much more as a person and how he became the man he is now.
Maddox - A silver fox in his early thirties. He loves numbers. A numbers guy who truly knows that, 'Numbers never lie.'
Strong, serious & funny. A banter machine amongst his friends, Bentley and Aiden.
As we, ourselves, personally struggle with past trauma, past mistakes or even just overall memories we want to erase; knowing what Maddox has gone through and continues to struggle with pulls at the heart strings. He is a passionate lover and really cares and believes in love.
Dee is a very independent person. Works hard and is very straight forward of what she wants. She has to make a decision for herself eventually but with her thoughts running rampage and her thumb wearing thin she gets close to the breaking point.
Maddox and Dee. There relationship starts off not being a relationship but more of a discussion on how to proceed with themselves to fill a void. I think those two communicate well when they are together but sometimes their demons tend to mess with them and they shut each other out.
I really enjoyed the progression between the two of them and how serious things got.
There is more than romance here. Wait, there is more than SPICY romance here, there is some drama that happens that really fills up the story nicely. I think it helped bring them a little closer to knowing what they really wanted.

This series has been fantastic. Each book just gets better and better and Maddox truthfully blew me away. I really loved the pairing of Maddox and Dee, both damaged by their pasts and not looking for love, but both so worthy of finding love with each other.
Melanie Moreland drew me into the story from the first page; I kept thinking just one more chapter. I loved the characters of Maddox and Dee and all the secondary ones and having already read Bentley, Aiden and now Maddox, I can say that this is one of my favourite series of 2018.
The story was extremely well written, engaging and it was great to see the growth of both Maddox and Dee as the book evolved. Neither Maddox or Dee wanted a “relationship” so friends with benefits suits them both, until it doesn’t.
I really didn’t want to start this book as I have been anticipating reading Maddox since I finished Aiden. Ms. Moreland well and truly delivered a story that had me engrossed from start to finish, not to mention I have a new book boyfriend.
There is so much to love about her characters, the depth and layers that she weaves throughout her stories reminds me of the peeling of an onion, layer by layer and Maddox was just such a book.
The friendships between Maddox, Bentley and Aiden is truly overwhelming, the love , laughter and obvious care they have for one another is swoon worthy in and of itself. Throw in the ladies they love Dee, Emmy and Cami and you have a group of people anyone would be proud to call friends. I know I would love to hang with these people and call them friends.
Swoon worthy
