I am hooked. I love the drama the love the steaaamm 🥵😈 it was such a good book. I couldn't turn it off!!

Sweet And Heartwarming!

I love this book, it’s one of my go to easy listening books! The story is relatively low angst, despite the horrible background the heroine comes from. Her love interest is ALL in, and I love that!
Both narrators are phenomenal, but that male narrator has one of the most soothing voices I’ve ever heard. So good!

Gregory Salinas’s voice is luscious

As always Gregory Salina’s voice is absolutely stunning. I get goosebumps whenever he really lowers his voice. Great story 3/5 in the spicy meter.

disappointed in the heroin

I loved the plot and idea of this book. what I did not love is the FC. she has zero backbone and cries through the entire thing.
I know how abuse can make you feel lost and alone but this chick just let's everyone walk all over her without protest. she just lays down and lets them do it and then cries about it later when they continue to. idk maybe it just me but she could've been a little bit less of a mouse.
there's also the fact that she just believes and excepts everything that she's told without question.
other then those 2 things I really did like the idea of this book I just think it could've had a little bit of a stronger FC

Juliette… why would they listen to her…

Im confused as to why they let Juliette make the decision. And their problems (plot points) were dumb. The bad guy can find you but y’all can’t find them. We’re in the stone ages. How did the king of demons make it this far. I’m upset with all this mess. The world building was good but the drama was soap opera’ish

just fine until the welcome back rape

Sometimes I just don't understand what gets into authors' heads ... this was a great story, interesting characters, good plot, excellent in some places ... and then, about an hour before the end, the main female character gets repeatedly stabbed by her crazed stepfather ... and her actual father, who is a god, heals her, and while she heals, she's in limbo for 9 days. Her body is safe with her mate the demon, he knows she's healing, he's waiting for her to wake up, so, after 9 days, she wakes up, and he immediately meanly rapes her while complaining that she left him to be in the limbo place of healing. Rapes her, in the bed she's been in a coma in for 9 days, she just woke up two minutes before, no welcome back, no so glad you lived, no ... just rips her legs open and has at her on her sick bed. This kind of thing, I don't understand why authors get thru 9/10ths of a book, with no sexual abuse at all, and then throw in an in your face rape. WTF times ten. This author is so off my list. There are trustworthy authors, and then there's this kind of reader abuse, where you're writing chick lit, string the reader along for hundreds of pages and then smack them with the mental and emotional images of rape. I suppose the author thinks he/she justified the rape by saying she had an orgasm during it. Well, that's a bodily process, not an after-the-fact agreement to the event. And then the next sentences had her getting on her knees to apologize ... that's when I started cussing and decided to write this review.
