Grief can be a hard thing to overcome. Sheldon Berotte has been grieving the loss of his wife for nearly twenty-five years, not giving another relationship a second thought. When she dies during childbirth, he is left to raise their five children, all under the age of ten, alone. His in-laws all live out of town, so help was minimal.

However, he stepped up to the plate and devoted his life to his children. Now that they are grown, they are worried about him. He has lost his ability to even entertain other people, nearly becoming a recluse. The only thing that gives him purpose is volunteering as security at one of the local high schools. Allowing his children to convince him into having a family barbeque, and them inviting some of their friends and their families, is the moment his life changes forever.

Anissa and Sheldon have immediate chemistry that he tries to fight. The feeling of guilt consumes him and threatens to destroy their future before they can even have a present. Can Sheldon let go of the torment guilt is putting him through and embrace the budding relationship between him and Anissa or will he allow her to slip from his fingertips?

Loved this book...where are the others???

This book was a impeccably written. I enjoyed every moment of it. Where are the next like 10 plus parts of the series??? Why is it not available on Audible. I wouldn't mind checking out other books from this other but this seems to be a pattern and I don't want to get sucked into another book 1 only for the next 10 plus parts not to be available. Come on Audible...

Replay The Love

This family was so special, welcoming, caring, loving and supportive. I love them. 😍 The author and narrators were spectacular. My attention was so captured that I finished it in no time at all. So now I’m looking for the next story. ❤️❤️❤️

Grown Folk Love

It was so good to read a love story about older and mature characters. I highly recommend this book.

Mature Love Story

This was a grown and sexy listen. Both narrators were excellent. I enjoyed the storyline, as two mature individuals grew a liking to one another. Sheldon a widower and Anissa a divorcee. Although, Anissa's first encounter with Sheldon was not favorable; it was understood why he reacted the way he did. For a couple of decades, he had never had a woman in his company that was wifey material. She broke through that hard shell. Anissa had to finally face the realization that her ex-husband would never be the man she married. Letting go and moving on, she was able to find what she needed in Sheldon and vice versa. They evolved into one big family - a beautiful beginning.

Love this book

Great novella that gave you enough detail but had you craving more. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.
