Overcoming past trauma can be a long windy road, especially when it isn’t dealt with properly. Yunique Mott, a forty-year-old dentist, can attest to that. Her childhood trauma has been dictating her every move. While she thinks she’s moved on from it, she doesn’t realize that she hasn’t healed. Harlem Moore hails from the tough streets of Houston, Texas, but chooses to move to Tallahassee, Florida for a fresh start. He wants his hustling days to be behind him, and to be sure of that, he knows he has to change his environment. After being in Florida for six months, he realizes he needs to schedule a dentist appointment. Upon scrolling the listings, he sees Yunique Mott’s picture. At first sight of her, he craves love that he feels only she can give. However, because of her rejection and mention of her pending nuptials, he decides to take the same route, hoping he can be paired with someone like her that will rock his soul.

A Houston Love Story

I really enjoyed this story. It shows us the importance of doing the real work to heal and not just conceal and the power of true love! This book at me smiling,giggling,crying and screaming simultaneously but it was worth it. My ONLY dislike was the female narrators “Houston” accent lol I’m from Houston born and raised and baby was working my nerves with that “H-Tine” lol

Love this story it touches on some serious trauma that is many times over looked or not talked about. Also Harlem was so sensitive and caring I really enjoyed him

Overcoming trauma is never easy, especially if you don't put in the work. Monica Walters books always have you feeling as if the characters in her books are now your family members as well! Job well done

I loved it!!

I loved how Harlem was in touch with his emotions and was there for Yunique. Yunique had a lot going on with her and that past trauma almost took her out. The narration was awesome both male and female. you will love this last book in the arrange hearts series!❤️❤️
