About this listen

Star light, star bright, the first star I see tonight....

A childhood chant turns near deadly for Lily Locke when she's swept into The Faction's latest triumph - the overthrowing of the hidden, magical city of Wishery.

When Ainsley and her team at MAGIC, Inc., beg Lily for her help, she agrees, taking on a load of problems that pile up faster than she can say abracadabra. A new revolution in black magic stumps the island's burgeoning mixologist, while a haunted house, a surprise birthday party, and rising familial troubles back on The Isle compete for her already-limited time and attention.

Lily's barely hanging on by a thread, juggling life, love, and the pursuit of magic, when islanders start disappearing - one at a time. When a man warns her the next disappearance is imminent, Lily must crack the curse...before she's next. I wish I may, I wish I might...have the wish I wish tonight.

Fun read!

These books are so interesting. The characters are great. The storyline is interesting - long lost family, love interest, really cool magical powers that the main character had no clue she possesses.

Awesome story was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I cannot wait for the next installment. Gina Lamanna is an amazing story teller.

Another delicious drink

Following the ever developing storyline around Lily, Ranger X and their loved ones, Long Isle Iced Tea has upped the heat.
Very much enjoyed the depth of the characters and learning more about what makes each character so unique.
The world of magic keeps growing and getting more interesting with every book.
The ending left me wanting to dive straight into the next book.

Whiny Lily strikes again.

Lily continues to get more and more annoying with each successive book. I can put aside the insta-love for a family she’d never met, a little harder to swallow is her easy breezy transition walking away from her normal life, but the ongoing goody two shoes whining and the preaching at people just makes it hard to continue. Not sure I can finish the entire series

Fun cozy paranormal series

This series has some original twists that make it a fun light read, but some installments are more compelling listening than others. If you like paranormal series, it’s worth a try.

The narrator is ok as the main voice, but annoying in portraying some of the other characters, esp the male voices. There are also lots of weird pauses. I tried listening at 1.25 speed which made the pauses less noticeable but I really don’t like messing with the speed and eventually switched it back since some characters speak at normal speed or even fast, which didn’t work well at 1.25
