About this listen

Given the choice between dealing with a psycho killer, a meddling mother, and an all too sexy falcon, this poor doctor does what any sane lion would do - he takes a nice, long nap.

Avian Soaring Security has transferred Clarice to the Furry United Coalition so she can help track some escaped psycho patients. As if that weren’t bad enough, they partnered her with the very pampered Dr. Manners. Everything about the attractive feline annoys her except for his flaming-hot kisses. But is passion enough to keep a usually sparring species together?

Nolan’s pedigree isn’t the only thing preventing him from falling for his sexy partner. She’s bossy, violent, rude, and oh so intriguing to this curious cat, but his meddlesome mother will never allow him to get involved with a bird. But before he can decide if love is worth bucking pride tradition, he needs to stay out of the clutches of a demented ex-patient.

Another Funny Story in the FUC Series

I give this story 3.5 stars.

Dr. Nolan Manners is a lion and has been caring for the victims of the Mastermind. Most of these victims has not only physical issues from the experiments, but also a lot of psychological trauma from the torture they endured. Most of the patients see all doctors the same and don’t realize that he is just trying to help them and that they have to keep them confined for their own good while they get better. This becomes all too apparent when the patients escape.

Clarice is a falcon and a member of Avian Soaring Security (ASS). Yes, FUC and ASS are working together to try to get this mutated patients back before they expose all shifters to the humans. Clarice was an orphan and never had a family and joined ASS at a young age, so they are the closest thing to a family she’s ever had. She is a little cold-hearted because she hasn’t had much love growing up.

Dr. Manners on the other hand grew up in a overbearing pride of lions with an even more overbearing mother. As the only male, he is quite spoiled. The pride cleans his apartment, delivers food and pretty much spoils him. He is also very cranky if he doesn’t get his naps, lazy cat.

This is another fun addition to the series. It has it’s laugh out loud moments. The interaction between Clarice and Nolan’s mom are great. Not to mention at one point when Nolan’s hair is sheared off, silly lions and their manes. This is a fun story of opposites attract.

Narration
Abby Craden did another great job with the narration. I’ve come to depend on her for outstanding narration. I’ve even started picking up other series with her as the narrator. She is great with both male and female voices.

**Audiobook was provided to me by the publisher. This review is my opinion and was not requested or provoked in anyway by the publisher.

Had Me Giggling From Beginning to End

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Most definitely. Funny and sexy. Loved Abby Craden doing the different voices, especially Miranda.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lion and the Falcon?

I rewound the scene where the girls are "kidnapping" Nolan because I just kept laughing.

What does Abby Craden bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She was fantastic! Kind of a Cate Blanchett voice and she brought the characters to life. Again, love her pitch when she does Miranda and the guys like Nolan and Chase, she deepens it nicely. Clarisse sounds like a tough chick just as her character.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I liked when Nolan's mom admits that he likes Clarisse and he does that double take. She admits that Clarisse is tough and has spunk and would be a great daughter-in-law.

Any additional comments?

I've already picked up the other books in audio even though I've read the series and am looking for more books by the narrator. First time listening her and loved it. I'm a huge fan of Eve Langlais and am looking for more of her audio books to download. She's a laugh riot.

I love this series!

Clarice and Nolan are on the hunt for the mutants from the mastermind's experiments while fighting their attraction. A bird and a lion?! Eve Langlais continues the humorous journey of FUC/ASS agents. Abby Craden continues to blow my mind as the voices of these amazing characters.

Another story with F.U.C. agents series w/ a.s.s

Handsome Lion Dr. falls for Falcon A.S.S. agent... Uhm... Love the stories about the F.U.C. agents (animal shifter protector) falling for each other.. I just felt luke warm about the female falcon character.. But, Eve Langlais does an excellent job writing and Abby did a great job with the voices.

Another great Eve book

In this book you get to learn more about FUC's doctor, Nolan. He is a lion shifter with a crazy mother and an obsession with hair products. FUC is dealing with aftermath of Mastermind. She did one last experiment and then set them loose. With all of the chaos that causes, extra help is called in. Clarice dislikes Nolan from the moment that she meets him. I enjoyed the banter between the two.

I think I enjoyed this book more because I took some time between books 3 and 4. If you have ever read an Eve book, you know you shouldn't read the last page unless you're ready to jump into the next book.
