This isn't a game. This is his new life.

An epic LitRPG adventure about a family trapped in a game-world called Eloria with no way out.

Dave has been wandering through life for a long time. His day job bores him, and he never seems to be able to meet his family's expectations. The only escape he's ever had is his love of MMORPGs.

But when he becomes the subject of a test without even knowing it, he's transported into a game-world called Eloria with no escape. It's a frequent daydream of his; however, in none of those dreams did his wife and daughter ever accompany him.

Now, Dave must balance protecting his family with exploring his dream...oh, and trying to stay alive. Monstrous beasts roam Eloria; worst of all, an undead army led by the vile Death Knight.

He'll have to adapt fast and learn to cooperate if he hopes to make a new home for his family. And just maybe, along the way, he'll find out why they're living a life in exile.

Experience the first three books in a LitRPG saga perfect for fans of C.M Carney, Blaise Corvin, and Charles Dean.

Narrated by Peter Berkrot (Alpha World, Earth Force). More than 50 hours.

Almost three full days of great Litrpg for a single credit? Can’t ask for much more than that. But this is an awesome story with a fantastic narrator. Love the crunch level, the characters, everything

Awesome series that really comes to life in audio

Sean Oswald is one of my new favorite LitRPG authors. Life in Exile stands out with his character cast as a family fighting for survival. Added to this are complex and fascinating game world mechanics and a lush setting of fantasy-style bad guys and nations at war.

The author’s use of family dynamic starts this story off with an engagement and sympathy with the main characters that stands out above the crowd. His world building and game development is the strongest draw to this new LitRPG series, with something new and fascinating on every page. The action is intense, realistic, magical and flows smoothly. I loved discovering this world and the characters fighting for survival. Cheers to the author and also the narrator for top level performance and entertainment.

All this for only one credit? Insanely good value.

Incredible value for one credit!

So this is positively amazing. Oswald is a top notch writer and keeps the story churning along at the perfect pace. Honestly, I got lost in it while listening on the train, and couldn’t have been happier (I mean, until I missed my stop of course). 6 stars if I could

This set obviously covers A LOT of ground and it's hard to write a review based on the content. The gist is that this series is about the Nelson family who are placed in a new fantasy world. They all experience all sorts of changes and hardships; and of course adventures while coming to terms with the differences between the two worlds. The books cover a lot of different view points for each of the members and spend a good amount of time each so as a reader you feel invested. At some point even a dungeon core is brought in. My first thought on that was "oh no how is this going to be managed?" honestly my concern was misplaced it all flows together very nicely and Peter did an amazing job voicing the whole thing.

This set covers a lot of ground when it comes to the fantasy world Isekai genre while also doing a great job with building not just that world, but also each of the family members. Along with depicting their family dynamics and internal struggles in a way that is relatable and has you cheer when they overcome those same struggles.

If you like Fantasy World LitRPG there really is no reason to pass up getting this set and immersing yourself in this well crafted world and join the Nelsons on their journey within it.

3 Amazing Books in a Box Set - A LitRPG must-have

OK I liked the story and the angle portrayed however Emily lowers my overall review. My personality and view points make people like Emily offensive and unacceptable to be around. Her views that everyone needs help is admiritable however her believing that everything has to go the way she thinks it should and that her opinion of everything matters above all else makes her the worse type of human being in the world. worse they murders...well not worse then rapists so there is that. add to that her blaming others for her mistakes and or lack of insight instead of taking the blame is infuriating. how is it Dave's fault that EMILY decided to leave her daughter with her underage son resulting in Sarah's kidnapping. The Emilys of this world are monsters. other then her I enjoyed the books.

Good story

Aside from the fact that Emily Nelson is the equivalent of Skyler White in this book and there are some extremely cheesy moments, I enjoyed the world building and character development, I hope to know more of Jackson, he is a very good part of the story, better develpoed than the rest of the family.

Emily made me roll my eyes a few times

I definitely recommend this series if you're into this genre, and even if you're not. good story telling, pacing, and a lot of point of views. I'm excited to read more of this authors work, and more of this series if it is written

fantastic read

One of the few downs is that for someone who knows rpg games is a newb at them, it’s annoying to listen to a pretender full of himself

Enjoyable

Her character got pretty insufferable towards the third book. Other than that it was a really good story.

This series excellent. It has nice character development, a complex magical system which odd consistent, and non-stupid characters. (Some books have terminally idiotic characters)

The biggest issue most people will have with the book series is the unlikely characters. Yes, they are well developed but they aren’t people you’d hang out with. They are hard to care for.

This series is excellent.
