not good

I thought this was a George Guidall narration who is amazing. it wasn't. some other narrator not even worth mentioning. Poorly written dialogue could not be saved. when the main character goes off on a totally disconnected rant about bourbon that has nothing to do with anything. I gave up.

Not up to pro standards

Writing; Bad dialogue, bad prose and superficial plot, the only positive thing about the writing I can come up with is that Donovan is one tough dude, although the writer doesn't capitalize on that much.

Narration; Orlow does most of it and is solid, Guidall is Guidall (awesome).

I don't know if this is Mr. Locke's first book so maybe the quality improves as he goes, this one feels like a poor first attempt that one would try to improve upon but not publish.

Books like this keep me from reading new writers as this was a waste of my time and money, yep it's that bad.
