This Audiobook will take you through the basics of German with Basic Bootcamp, All About, and Pronunciation lessons. The five Basic Bootcamp lessons each center on a practical, real-life conversation. At the beginning of the lesson, we'll introduce the background of the conversation. Then, you'll hear the conversation two times: one time at natural native speed, and one time with English translation. After the conversation, you'll learn carefully selected vocabulary and key grammar concepts. Next, you'll hear the conversation one time at natural native speed. Finally, practice what you have learned with the review track. In the review track, a native speaker will say a word or phrase from the dialogue, wait three seconds, and then give you the English translation. Say the word aloud during the pause. Halfway through the review track, the order will be reversed. The English translation will be provided first, followed by a three-second pause, and then the word or phrase from the dialogue. Repeat the words and phrases you hear in the review track aloud to practice pronunciation and reinforce what you have learned.
In the 15 All About lessons, you’ll learn all about German and Germany. Our native teachers and language experts will explain everything you need to know to get started in German, including how to understand the writing system, grammar, pronunciation, cultural background, tradition, society, and more!
The five Pronunciation lessons take you step-by-step through the most basic skill in any language: how to pronounce words and sentences like a native speaker. You’ll go from basic concepts to advanced tips and will soon sound like you’ve been speaking German your entire life.

I'm sure your first question is: Can you actually learn a foreign language while you’re asleep? According to a Swiss research study in 2014, the answer is unassailably yes! In this study, a group of German speakers was given a list of unfamiliar Dutch words to study. Half were instructed to get some sleep while they listened to long lists of Dutch words and translations. The other half was instructed to stay awake. Four hours later, they were tested and the group that listened while they slept had significantly higher recall.

worth the purchase
I enjoyed listening to this. Good intro to German. I plan on getting the next audiobook in this series. I will say that one of the music selections for this audiobook was a bit of a shock. You'll know what I mean when you get to it.

Trying to learn German? Don’t get this book.
If you’re trying to learn the German language this is a horrible audiobook for it. I would say probably about 95% of the words spoken in this audiobook is English. They barely go over actual language learning. It’s mostly what’s cool in Germany. Extremely disappointed with this buy.
