Excellent!

I've been dabbling in French for years. I took it in high school, then continued with self-taught lessons afterwards. However, I was never able to put all the pieces together to have a coherent conversation. Paul Noble fills in the gaps and makes sentence construction more clear in his approach. Brief history lesson about how the English language is a "kissing cousin" of the French language is enlightening and useful.

This is the best audio French learning book I have so far listened to. The repetition is awesome and is so essential for language learner. I could remember almost everything Paul Noble taught me on this book and his Next step book after listening to them only once. It has a lot to do with his method of teaching. I wish he could make more audio French lessons.

Paul Noble does a fantastic job in implement a method that really teaches you how to speak a foreign language from the first moment, as you listen and think about the answer yourself to the questions asked. Very enjoyable and Effective method👏🏼

Exceptional Learning Tool for Beginners

Truly exceptional. I spent years learning another language—Spanish—through traditional middle and high school classes in the US, and I was never able to speak as clearly and confidently as I can in French after listening (and more importantly, engaging) with this audiobook for just two short weeks. Truly incredible method of building scalable speaking skills and vocabulary over a short period of time. It makes learning languages feel achievable (for me) like never before. No brainer if you’re new to the language and want a place to start. I’m planning on using Paul Noble’s audiobooks for any additional languages I might pick up in the future.

I thought it was east to follow along and the way it’s structured makes it easy to get acquainted with the basics. Might listen again before moving to the intermediate.

Wonderful course

I have used several apps during the past two years. This one is by far my favorite.

This is great even if you’ve studied for a while

I was worried this audio book would be to much of a beginner course so I tried to listen the sample, which was just the introduction. However, it’s not so basic that it stays with greetings. The author/narrator dove right in and helps you start to build sentences right away. This is mostly grammar based, and not a lot of vocab. I’m glad I purchased it, since it’s already helped me immensely with sentence structure and speaking.

It takes FULL advantage of the French roots in the English language, and walks the listener through how to construct an immense variety of sentences -- all in just a handful of hours. My HIGHEST recommendation for this book if you're an English speaker who is new to French. This book will give you a tremendous toolset for immediately speaking (and understanding) basic -- and some not-so-basic -- French.

I’m on my 3rd read of the book and I feel like I have so much more of a grasp on the language. It’s really fun to practice. The method is magic.
