Best Exercise in Growth for Any Leader

As a director, this book and the techniques are right on. It provided me with a review of the things I'm doing correctly and gave me insight into those things I need to change to engage all those I manage. I loved the exercises for new material to motivate my teams. I also enjoyed the insights into people's behavior and the workarounds that allowed me to engage the entire team. This book is a gem of information and wisdom for anyone who manages others. Highly recommend.

Change Agent

I got "voluntold" for management during COVID when others I worked with abruptly left. I had no real leadership skills or expertise. I was just an employee. I felt like it was the blind leading the dumb in a period where uncertainty ruled supreme. But in those first few months, I started to find my way - accepting my new role and acting as a change agent before I even knew what that term was. Listening to Ron Lagrone's book has opened my eyes to the difference between management and leadership. I now have descriptions of things I knew instinctively and have ideas for how I want to grow my leadership style. I only wish I had this months and months ago.

Leadership Management Cheat Codes Inside

This book is a comprehensive pocket guide to leveling up your management to expert leadership skills. It covers things like communication techniques, confidence, strategies for navigating change, strengthening strengths, and strategically working on weaknesses.

As someone who has managed over 300 people in my career, this book helped show me areas where I was hitting the mark and others where I needed work. The tools in this book helped me have a critical conversation with my manager, leading to me getting a RAISE! How cool is that?

My team is more cohesive, and we are reaching and exceeding expectations. We are now leading the way in how a team should function. Our team meetings are more productive, and we have less! We’ve learned to put many things into emails that shouldn’t be discussed in a meeting. Thank you so much for this powerful resource that has made working with a team so much more enjoyable.

Must have book for all leaders especially now

If you want to be a leader and not just the boss, this is the perfect book for you. The author does a great job of explaining what a leader is and how to lead. From actually sending emails instead of wasting everyone's time with useless meetings, this guide shows real-world examples and how to deal with them. Especially now that so many people work from home, this book explains why we need leaders who inspire us vs. managers who are more hindrance and often cause their team to lose motivation. No matter if you manage five people or five hundred, this guide will make you a better manager and leader.
