Publisher's summary

Lark has the worst luck. After stumbling through a thin spot in the veil between realms, he’s been stuck in the human world for a decade and forced to perform in a club for the witch that captured him. He's tried for years to get to freedom, but he needs help. What could it hurt to summon a crossroad demon to get him back home to the Fae realm?

When Pike gets summoned for the first time in decades, he’s sure it’s for something ridiculous. Humans never think of consequences. However, the moment he lays eyes on the pretty Fae, he’s determined to help the ethereal one, no matter the cost, even if it’s his own heart.

Kisses at the Crossroads is a part of the multi-author series, Fortune Favors the Fae. From spicy to sweet, zany romps to epic adventures, there’s something for everyone in this mystical series. Discover destiny and true love and follow the coin on its fickle journey to the next world and a new magical adventure.

Quirky crossroads demon & sweetly timid Fae

Lark & Pike
I read The Nephilim's Touch before experiencing Kisses at the Crossroads, so I was a little familiar with Lark & Pike, but didn't have nearly enough of their story at that time. I am so happy to have had the chance to learn their story, although everything Lark had to go through was terrible and terrifying. I can't imagine being a captive slave of someone like Drake for a decade. He was a horrible villain, and I'm glad he got his due.

I was surprised at how many times in the story that I teared up due to the emotions of the scene. Lark is such a sweet & sensitive soul, and somehow never lost that sensitivity no matter what he endured.

Pike is an interesting character, but no less loveable than Lark. There's something in his protectiveness that shows you how much of a leader he is when it comes to trying to save Lark.

Audiobook update:
I will never say no to another audiobook narrated by Zachary Zaba. There's just something about the way he enhances the authors' stories; you get drawn in and cannot stop listening, even if you already know what's coming.

I received an authorized copy of this story/audiobook and am volunteering my honest review.

so sweet

Pike has got to be the sweetest crossroads demon, even if he would never admit it. His care for Lark from the very beginning is obvious. Lark is jyst amazing in his ability to still be a good soul after everything that happens to him.
Zachary Zaba does a great jobvat bringing them to life

Love Will Set You Free!

This novella was absolutely adorable and fun on audible! There could not have been any other narrator than Zachary for this tale. He has a voice lends itself to fantasy romances and characters who need a little love and saving. Stunningly descriptive with so much personality given to all of the characters. I love the who Crossroads Demons thing! All of the Crossroad Demon friends of Pike are going to need stories now!

Great story!

I love this story! Pike and Lark are so cute together. I loved listening their relationship grow. Plus I love Frankie! She is so cute and I just want to cuddle with her. I also enjoyed hearing more of the coin’s personality in this story. This is a fun listen and Zachary Zaba did a great job narrating. I can’t wait for more stories from this world. I definitely recommend.

Great audio

This is one of those stories that is made better by the audiobook. Zachary Zaba has a way of just making stories better. He keeps you intrigued and has enough diversity in his characters you are easily able to tell whose pov you are in at the time. I cannot wait to see what he does with rest of the books tied to Hex, Indiana.

OK, for one love Hex, Indiana, and can not wait to see how Morgan ties these coming stories together from these three separate universes. It's one of the things that I appreciate highly when authors tie all their books together, even when part of different series.

Lark (Trick) has been trapped for years until luck is finally on his side, and he finds a feisty coin to help him. Pike, a crossroads demon who doesn't want this bath, gets summoned by Lark. Together, they find a way to free the other from their ties to live life's they actually want. The ties that grew felt real, and you fall for the crossroads demons and make you look forward to their installments as well. Just a part of the story felt incomplete for me or maybe rushed. It's still a fun read. it's just something missing. Morgan kept the feel of the coin correct to correlate with the same feeling it gave in previous installments, which I can appreciate.
