About this listen

Campy, supernatural, stank-nasty fun!

Officer Norman Green is your typical human rookie, which means he'll need to watch his back in this city full of vampires, homicidal leprechauns, and the occasional meth-head gator-shifter.

Underpaid and overwhelmed, Green's only hope of surviving his first year on patrol is Heather Valance, his werewolf field training officer who scares the everliving shift out of him.

But when the pair unearth a department cover-up of paranormal proportions, their dangerous beat gets a hell of a lot hairier.

And doing the right thing may be the last thing they do.

Kilhaven Police is the unflinchingly dark comedy you didn't know you needed. LEOs and civilians alike love this irreverent series with twists you won't see coming, and hilarity when you least expect it.

This box set includes:

Shift Work (book 1)

Same Old Shift (book 2)

Shift Out of Luck (book 3)

Deep Shift (book 4)

If you like outrageous foot pursuits, unforgettable characters, and things that go splat, you'll love this supernatural police procedural from Brock Bloodworth and H. Claire Taylor.

I love the comedy and the narration in this series. I will look for the winter and narrator again.

Great

The book does an amazing job catching the real part of law enforcement. As a cop myself I laughed constantly at the calls that well supernatural still seemed pulled out of real life with how they went.

Not my usual fare

I tend to lean towards paranormal romances. This was more like a paranormal cops and robbers. Norman Greene joined the police force having to fight prejudice and hypocrisy. It wasn’t because he is black which he is, but because he is human. His paranormal coworkers could outpaced him and outperform him with no effort. Humans were finally allowed to be police officers so Norman was a pioneer. Finding a place for himself is an uphill battle. The stories got me hooked. At first, I didn’t think I would even listen beyond the first book but it got to a point where I couldn’t put it down. Mr. Verner did an excellent job of the narration. I love the performers that make it seem like they are telling their own story.
