About this listen

Three full-length suspense novels from multi-award winning Christian novelist Alana Terry. A three-in-one bundle of suspense and captivating excitement as missionary kid Kennedy Stern faces more danger, mystery, and controversy than she knows how to handle.

Confronted with questions of underage abortion, plagued by a stalker and paralyzing PTSD flashbacks, and eventually caught in the center of a police brutality scandal, Kennedy discovers that her first year at Harvard University involves a lot more than passing a few lab classes and fulfilling her premed requirements.

With her parents serving North Korean refugees overseas, Kennedy befriends a loving and highly opinionated pastor, his hospitable and encouraging wife, an eccentric but respectful roommate whose worldview is drastically different from Kennedy's, and a foreign lab partner who's harboring a grave secret he'd do just about anything to keep from being exposed.

The Kennedy Stern Christian suspense series tackles controversial issues facing the church today and brings them to light in a way that encourages questions and fosters discussions without ever turning preachy or heavy-handed. Find out why people from all faiths and denominations, all walks of life, and all sides of the political spectrum are devouring this thought-provoking series from edgy Christian fiction author Alana Terry, who has won awards from Women of Faith, Grace Awards, The Book Club Network, Readers' Favorite, and many others.

It says if the author forgets we’re in a scene and rambles ton way too much in the characters going off, thinking entirely too much while in a situation that’s happening in that moment so much so in fact that I forget what’s even going on in the scene

Interesting….but I’m not sure I’ll be able to finish

The story’s are interesting but I was not impressed by the narrator or how the character in the story.
The narrator does not read well. She chops the sentences which is very irritating and doesn’t which voices well enough for an audible book.
The main characters spiritual development is very lacking. I found myself frequently discouraged by not growing through the experiences she is having. This just isn’t a book that I would recommend to a spiritually young Christian in hopes they would search out Christian fiction vs secular fiction.
I found that good subjects were brought up but not discussed well or revealed in a way that glorifies God.
Sorry, but thats my thoughts.

Interesting story line

It was really hard to get through these three books. I was hoping for a new series that I could enjoy reading, but it took everything I had to get through these three books, which I felt like I had to do because I actually paid for them. The main character was constantly jumping to the worst case scenario. You’d have a line of dialogue and then 12 questions thinking what’s the worst that could happen, and what else worse can happen, and what else? It was very painful to read. I won’t be buying any more of this series.

This series must be for young adult readers

I enjoyed the storyline and characters. I was surprised at some of the twists. Can't wait for more from this author.

excellent storyline

The basic story was ok. However, there was infinitely too much additional description. It slowed the story down so much that I played fast-forward more than half of the story.

Sweet Story but very slow pace

She needs to get her medical facts more correct in some points. The events flow a bit too simplistically. and the ending was quite anticlimactic, with "life back to normal" too fast and still unanswered questions. Okay for a Netflix series but lacking for a book. Definitely not a classic literary style yet but some potential here.

weak writing, shows some potential but needs improvement.

Each book in this box set got better and better.. so much to think about... and what I think was brilliant writting... so much depth!

Great box set

the narrator is horrible, putting a comma after every few words is so hard to listen to

need new narrator

There was a lot of repetitions in the story line. Kennedy always made the wrong assumptions, always just wanted to sleep and as a pre-med student, she liked to through in medical or anatomical words that seemed like she was trying to impress someone. I am sorry I have already purchased the next series. I just bought them at the same time.

A bit disappointed
