Jackdaws by Ken Follett is an irresistible novel of the French Resistance, love, courage and revenge set in the Second War War.

Short but sweet. Predictable but worthwhile

Ken Follett can do no wrong in my books. This was an extremely light read, and I enjoyed it. Im a big WW2 fan, and , although predictable, was fun.
I didnt regret the credit to purchase this book.
I figure you can't go wrong with Ken!

Exciting and Riveting

This is a great story - it's riveting listening. I couldn't put it down once I started. The narrator is excellent and very easy to listen to. The pace is fast and exciting in the typical Ken Follet fashion. I've listened to 3 of Ken Follets novels on audiobook and this has been the best so far.

Simple enjoyment

Very easy book to listen to.
the narrative was excellent and plot flowed smoothly. The characters were cartoonish but enlightening about the roles of women during the war.

Good Parts Version

There are 3 Ken Follett books that have been in my Audible Wish List since the end of 2012! That’s about 3 ½ years now.

Modigliani Scandal
Paper Money
Jackdaws

I did not buy the books because only the abridged versions were available and I generally don’t care for condensed books, but after three years of waiting, plus a sale, I decided why not! It’s time to plunge.

I just finished Jackdaws, the last of the 3, and I have to say that THIS is how a book should be abridged! I never felt like I was missing information or that we had jumped around in time leaving inexplicable holes in the plot. It was like the good-parts version of a story as opposed to the confusing or downright terrible mess of the previous too.

I’m glad I read this one last, it has helped to restore my faith in abridged books… good ones do exist!

Regarding the narration, Lady Rosamund Painswick is great!
