good story bad narration

I really liked the story but the voices didn't fit the characters. I'm sure if I'd read it instead of listened to it I would've loved it.

Raven and Dylan have so much tension and chemistry and I was living for it! I loved that Raven was so smart, strong and independent. She consistently proved her worth even when her ex put her in shitty situations. Raven had an interview scheduled with Dylan's company that she was trying to get a position with but when Dylan sees his nemesis dump her in front of him at that same restaurant they were going to have the interview he decides to use her for his revenge plot, to show off that he now has his girl. As they become closer and are caught hooking up, everyone's perspective on Raven changes and the people she had impressed no longer see her the same way so even though Dylan swears “it’s just business” he decides to go against his original instinct of not hiring her and offers her an opportunity at the firm. Dylan is very smart and strategic and has been burned in the past by Raven's ex but as he and Raven spend more time together things start to heat up. I don’t want to give too much more away but I really enjoyed this book and recommend you check it out!

Workplace Romance

The MCs, Raven and Dylan, are drawn to revenge on their ex-boyfriend and his ex-friend. I liked how driven Raven was, but she had difficulty connecting with her character’s decision-making. Her career was her priority. She was concerned with what everyone thought about her, but not enough to give it up in a moment of weakness. There is a double standard in the workplace, and I would've respected Raven more if she had taken responsibility for her relationship sooner.

Dylan was straightforward about his feelings about Raven. He fell for her first, and his confidence made up for her insecurities. This Audiobook was entertaining.

I love the spice between Dylan & Raven, and the way he fights for her when she has her doubts.

Entertaining and Fun

It was what you’d expect, a standard romance push and pull. I wished the antagonist was punished more and there was more revenge.

Beautiful story

A determined to make-it-on-her-own woman in a world of high finance. Integrity, lies, conniving, trust and ultimately love abound in this exceptionally well narrated audiobook. Enjoy.

First time reading from its authors and wow perfection the plot the love Dylan the men you are he falls first and so hard love how he will burn everything just for her and the end 🥰 they are the sweetest but hottes at the same time so obsessed for them really recommend this one so good 💕💕

The narration left this story with much to be desired. They were both pretty dry and using their own voices to do opposite sexes voices was cringey. No build up with their attention to being crazy over each other. Wished I didn’t waste a credit on this book.

I’m trying to enjoy it

Just okay, in my opinion. I find myself drifting off and needing to rewind; nothing has captured me enough to keep my attention. The narration isn’t outstanding, isn’t awful, just there. The story, nor the characters, were ever deeply developed. The whole thing feels rushed and weird,; like I’m listening out of obligation instead of curiosity. After spending over twenty dollars on this audible, I’m regrettably forcing myself to finish it.
