So many inaccuracies

The plot of the story is good but the execution is so off base. Anyone walking into this world is going to have questions, but the way Jolie was written is just so horrible. Shane character is spot on for a Daddy Dom, not a Pleasure Dom, however Jolie would be considered a little. The closed mindedness of Jolie especially at the club, just awful! Most people who walk into this world would be more open minded, secure in themselves, and accepting of peoples different preferences. Also most would take classes from a trainer before ever entering a club.

Just so many things inaccurate that I had to stop listening and walk away a few times because I just got frustrated with it.

I wish more research had been done to make it more accurate. Because people listening to this may get a whole bunch of wrong ideas on the lifestyle.

Love Shane & Jolie

I had already read this book when it was released and decided to listen to it on audible. The story was just as good the second time around. I love the characters and how their story develops. The female narrator was great. I wasn’t as much of a fan of the male narrator but he did have a nice voice. I just think the female narrator showed more emotion through her narration. All in all, this was an excellent book in both print and audio.

Jolie has so much sass and I am here for it. Alexis Paige did such a good job bringing her spitfire attitude to life.

It was so easy to hate Shane at the beginning, but he definitely grew on me. Dane Anderson somehow made Shane’s arrogance and nonchalance way more attractive than it should have been.

It's not all about money, well maybe it is. The wealthy matriarch scorns the daughter that isn't "successful. Until she needs her daughter's talents.
The step father disregards his recalcitrant son. Throw a socialite wedding in the mix and Jane Diamond has written a real page turner.

Daddy Dom Voice & All

After reading the book, I knew I had to hear it being read.

While Shane's narrator has a Daddy Dom voice down, it is a lot deeper at times than I imagined for Shane. With that being said, it's still amazing and I loved it!
Jolie enters with the exact voice I had in mind.

Both narrators did an awesome job, and the change in Jaine Diamond's narrators was a nice change of pace. Loved it! recommend it as a good listen!

Glad Shane finally got his story

While I liked the story, it’s my least favorite of the Vancity Villians. The narrators on this one weren’t for me and it took me out of the story too much. I preferred this as an e-book rather than audible.

Love the spice!

Jaine Diamond brought the BDSM with this book and I am SO HERE FOR IT! The spice level in this book was so on point, I will be listening to it over and over!
Shane and Jolie aren't my favorite characters from the intertwined series but I still love their chemistry. Wish it wouldn't have taken a 4 year break but it happens.
They don't have as much trauma as past books but still have their fair share of things to get over in order to be together. It made this book a little less predictable than can be normal in romance books.
I love Jaine's books so much I'm always sad when they are over and this one definitely fits!
Read/listen to it, you won't be sorry!

The audiobook is narrated by: Alexis Paige, and Dane Anderson who bring the story to life with their electric and sultry reading. I relished listening to every hour of Jaine Diamond’s Irresistible Rogue audiobook.
A chance encounter that night between Jolie and Shane will change their lives forever in ways neither could have predicted. Jolie decides to spend the night with this handsome man rather than attend her mother’s engagement party. Unbeknownst to either of them that night was the fact that Shane's dad was marrying Jolie's mother, and they were to be stepsiblings. Shane was abandoned as a child, so he was not blood-related to Jacob, his adopted dad, who considered him his son. Shane participates in illegal fights not just for money, as doesn't need the income, but because he likes subduing his opponents and winning with the accompanying high, he feels after a fight. Jolie is looking for a "unicorn" or a man who will love and cherish her with a forever kind of love. Jolie feels so hurt and devastated when she realizes that her ONS was with her future stepbrother Shane that she left Canada to live in the US for four years. Shane's insecurities and lack of trust in his being "good enough" keep him and Jolie apart until they meet at a pre-wedding festivity. Since Jolie decides to help her mom with her wedding planning since the planner quit, she must check and see if Shane will be attending the wedding, which puts Jolie in Shane's path, where their attraction to each other combusts into flames. Jolie and Shane have quite a story to tell. From the moment's passion ignites to fighting inner demons and discovering what they each want out of life. Jaine Diamond is a master story weaver where each book is not empty fluff but deals with internal traumas and emotions that shape who people are and why each reacts and acts in a particular manner. Diamond's books are treasures to be read, and I have re-read her books over and over! Jaine Diamond's books always leave a lasting imprint on her readers, which is a sign of a talented author.

Loved the story

I loved this book when I read it. I had a hard time listening to it. The narrators, for whatever reason, were just so distracting to me. I kept finding myself reacting to their acting rather than the story.
