Publisher's summary

I've been dreading this for a year.

Okay, that's a lie. I've been dreading this reunion since we graduated high school 10 years ago.

So why am I here, standing outside the door like the eternal wallflower I am?

I'd say it's because my younger sister browbeat me into it, but the truth is, I'm tired of being a nobody. Of never taking a risk with myself and my life.

And...well...maybe I'm also hoping to see him.

The tall, insanely gorgeous man walking my way now. Oliver Fritz is regarded as one of Boston's sexiest doctors. I know him as the former god of our school. The one every girl wanted, and every guy wanted to be.

The one as unhappy to be here as I am.

That's when he makes the proposal I've always dreamed of. Only, this one is fake. On bended knee, he places a ring on my finger and proposes we brave this reunion together, with me as his fake fiancée. But when our wild and steamy night ends in scandal, we're forced to make a deal.

He gives me what I need, and in return I stay his fake fiancée, so he doesn't lose face with the media who love him or his sick mother. Should be easy, right? Just a few months pretending to be engaged to one of Boston's most notorious billionaire bachelors. What could go wrong?

Turns out everything.

Doctor Scandalous is a super steamy, laugh out loud, full on romance that will hit you straight in the feels! It is a stand-alone in a brand new series about Boston's hottest billionaire doctors and the women they fall head over heels for!

Hot billionaire doctor/fake dating romance with a fantastic narration!

Such an engaging and entertaining book!! This is my first book by J. Saman and I am in love with her writing! This fake dating storyline is one of the best I’ve read in that troupe! It’s so well written, unique, incredibly engaging and never ever had a dull moment! The character development of Oliver and Amelia separately and together is so good! I loved seeing them grow together and their chemistry poured off the pages making you fall in love with them! Also, you are not ready for the romance between these 2. It was so unexpected but so so good! This book has so many things I love in one: doctor/nurse, billionaire, fake dating, knew each other as kids, and even a little bit of single mom as Amelia is her sisters caregiver. There is something for everyone in this book!

“So imagine meeting this guy. This perfect, perfect guy. Smart, sexy, funny, charming. Everything you’ve always wanted in a man. But he’s a player. A man just as broken as you are. And then you end up trapped in a situation that has you straddling the line between real and fake. You don’t know which end is up. What is a lie and what is real. Plus, you start to develop feelings—intense feelings—for the guy when you absolutely positively know you shouldn’t. That doing so will certainly lead to heartache and ruin.”

The plot of this book is what completely drew me in! The first chapter started off with a bang as both Oliver and Amelia, show up to their high school reunion. He’s a doctor from a hot shot rich family and she can’t even afford the cover fee to get into the reunion. Oliver swoops in and makes it seem like they are together and pays for her. Amelia thinks he doesn’t know who she is but little does she know, they both had crushes on each other in high school! I was already swooning over these 2 before the real story began! Their fake dating turns into a fake engagement and the rest of the plot is ever changing and addicting! I already plan to buy a paper copy because I love this book so much!!

Blake Lockheart and Avery Reid were so pleasing to listen to for the narration of this book! They had me completely immersed in the storyline as I listened because their voices perfectly portrayed Oliver and Amelia! I couldn’t have picked a better pair! I can easily say I’ll be relistening to this one again soon!

Very Entertaining

The Fake Engagement storyline is familiar to a point, but the reasons for it are heartwarming and believable. The characters are believable and the little sister is adorable for a teen.

The male narrator was better, but both did a great job.

The only minor issues I have is that they seem to refer to another story prior to this one with the sister of the Dr. and her husband. Apparently she was kidnapped and rescued by the man that would become her husband. No idea where that story came from. Also, the use of British idioms, like “wanker”, by Boston characters is a little jarring.

Cute Story

I enjoyed the book but a few times I was rolling my eyes. Amelia was hot/cold. Oliver was awesome! I even like the little sister’s logic.
The male narrator as Amelia was irritating.

Wow

A true love story, loved it’s characters and story line. How there was overcoming bullying, having to take on great responsibility, always having to depend on yourself, and failing in love and much more.

Loved Amelia!

First, the narrators are fantastic! For me, this can make or break an audiobook. The FMC and her younger sister are amazing. The FMC is strong, stubborn, with a heart of gold. The MMC is good. Overall I enjoyed the story and believe it was worth the credit. The only con for me was I felt there was too much inter dialogue. (It was a little overkill.) I lean toward very spicy books and this was a 3/5 but I didn’t mind because I enjoyed the story and character development.

Can’t give enough stars to these guys and their books! I love all their stories! I haven’t gone in order but i know enough about everyone to be able to keep up with it. I think the writing and the characters were phenomenal. I truly love the narration of these books as well! I am so happy to spend my credits on these books! Highly recommend reading them!

Good story, a bit too long

This was one of the better fake engagement stories that I've come across, involving a woman who was the smart but poor outcast at her high school running into her very rich and popular school crush at their 10 year reunion. The chemistry between the two is great, and both are likeable characters right from the start. It's nice to see the FMC grow throughout the book and learn to stand up to her bullies.

I usually like my books to be as long as possible but this one did get a bit tedious at the end. Avery Reid did a good job with the female narration. Blake Lockheart was a bit wooden with his narration, but it wasn't so bad that it seriously hurt the story. Neither of these issues seriously hurt the book and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a feel-good, happily ever after story.

Steam level is moderate, with a few explicit sex scenes. There is an average amount of angst and misunderstanding, with a happy ending for all.

Loved it

The audio gave the story more feeling. I loved reading the digital book but to have it on audio was even better. Some of the emotional scenes gave it a more relatable effect. Although she was stubborn when it came to Oliver and his money, I understood her from personal experience. IT was a great audio and story.
