About this listen

His uncle has been kidnapped. A shadowy government agency is torturing cryptids in his city. His Sanctuary has been revoked from the one place he could drink safely. There's a medusa at the mall. A fairy princess might have just summoned an Old One in a public park.

Quincy Harker really wishes he'd just stayed in Memphis.

But he didn't. He came home to find out that a secret government agency has gone rogue and kidnapped Luke, along with literally dozens of other cryptids, faeries, lycanthropes, and monsters. Now, Harker and his crew have to rescue Luke and take down a massive government conspiracy while keeping escaped monsters from destroying Charlotte!

There are times in a person's life when they know that nothing will ever be the same. This is one of those times. This is Quincy Harker's inflection point.

I’ll provide a reflection on this inflection!

John G. Hartness has captured a character with moxy, gravitas, and the maturity level of a 15 year old. That’s why I love it. The story arch is continued to be fantastic and as usual, James Anderson Foster is Harper. No. The names Harker. Lay of the booze I can smell the wild turkey from here.

easily the best series on audible!

CAN NOT WAIT FOR ANOTHER BOOK IN THIS SERIES TO HIT AUDIBLE! I'm a traveling salesman so I spend a lot of time on the road rocking out to audible books. The Quincy Harker demon hunter series has taken the #1 spot away from The Iron Druid chronicles! easily the best series I've listened to! I highly recommend this book!

This series is addictive!

I totally enjoy The Quincy Harker Series! Unfortunately, due to damage to my eyes, my reading is not what it used to be. The ability to listen to this series via Audible is priceless.

WOW..

In this book Luke has been kidnapped, the Shadow government is torturing Cryptids, Quincy’s “Sanctuary” has been revoked, the only place he could drink in peace, there’s a Medusa in the Mall and a Fairy Princess may have just summoned an Old One at the park. This will be a busy book!

No real romance and the F-bomb was used 249 times.

As for the narration: Phenomenal!

Love this series

Some of the fighting were a little long and drawn out aside from that I loved it all together and 15 word minimum is nuts

You should probably try not to get dead again

“Our numbers were few, but our snark was mighty.”
While there’s a self contained story about missing uncle Luke, this is really the start of a three part conspiracy arc involving D.E.M.O.N. You may want to consider waiting until you’ve got this one, Conspiracy Theory, and Comes A Reckoning.

“Okay, you can kill child molesters… and Nazis.”
Or, suffer the cliff hanger in the name of a pulpy good time. Compared to the previous book, there’s more screen time with series regulars, like Becks, Faust and Glory. I enjoy Quincy Harker way better when he’s clashing with his friends. You could start the series here, but why would you, when you can start with the Omnibus that has novellas 1-12 (or Years One, Two. and Three)?

“What makes you think I’m not a human with an extraordinary healing factor?”
QH: “Because you look nothing like Hugh Jackman, which pretty much takes Wolverine off the table.”
My favorite things about this book are the trademark snark, non-stop action, and the monster variety. From Medusa to Bigfoot, this was a lot of fun. And bloody. And mouthy.
Yep, this was classic Quincy-MF-ing-Harker.

This book delivers better than DoorDash!

I have loved all of the Q story lines and this did not disappoint! The downside is that this is just one episode so now I’m back to being hungry for more. Write faster, John; Davey needs another fix!
