About this listen

Inevitable is an emotionally charged, second chance romance.

Aubrey

The day I lost my parents was the day he saved me.

Jax Stonewood - my best friend's older brother.

He was never meant to be my savior. My first real love.

And certainly not my greatest heartbreak.

I spent years getting over him, and now he's back - the nation’s most streamed artist and eligible bachelor...but I'm not falling for him again.

Jax and I are done.

Jax

The day I saved her was the day I lost myself to her.

Aubrey Whitfield was only ever supposed to be my brother’s best friend.

Not my life. Not the one I would die for.

Definitely not the one that would break me.

She’s built up walls to shut me out, but I won’t leave her behind again.

Our souls are welded together.

Aubrey has always been mine. I’ll make her remember...whether she likes it or not.

We’re inevitable.

Loved this

I freaking love this book. It always amazes me how opinions of books are so different. This is the five star book and it deserves every one of those stars. It was so intense that I’m not even gonna jump in to the second one just yet. I am sure glad I read it.

Frustrating!

This story was amazing. It hit every emotion more than once. It took awhile for me to like Aubrey's character and I'm still not sure I do. I feel the pain she went thru, but she just kept letting it rule her life along with Jax. I wanted her to spew all her hurt and hate on him and move on, but Noooooooooo! She stayed calm and reserved and just tried not to make a scene. She did redeem herself at the end though! I don't know if I've ever hated a character as much as Jax. He was ruthless and relentless and Aubrey's emotional state was never strong enough to fight his advances. They are beautiful together if they could lose their emotional baggage. I will say Jax deserved to be staked down and then release red fire ants on him! I didn't like him until the last chapter and the epilogue. His type of character usually changed my mind at least by mid book. This book took me on a roller coaster. It was a wonderful, real problem story and the performance was amazing! Loved this book, but not till the end!

Wow wow wow

I was totally enraptured by this book. I loved the relationship, the fear, the sorrow and the inevitability. I can’t wait to read more about this family.

Audible vs book

Audible: narrator female didn’t mesh well with the character as a teenager. I thought it was difficult to figure out who was saying what. She was well spoken but I do not feel shammen was meant for all parts maybe Kate and Vicky. Joe was excellent thank you!

Story line was spot on. I’ve read other reviews and I don’t think they listened to everything. I didn’t read there was cheating but a lot of miscommunication. Teenage love Is all about miscommunication. Adult feelings are even more complicated and there was so much of that throughout this book. I loved how the author depicted on how the reservation and state police treats cases of indigenous children “run aways” cases because they avoid paperwork or work in general or they just don’t have the resources. Every child deserves to be treated like no matter how long they have been gone they are priority. I felt it in this book. I didn’t like the non apologetic Jax but most dominant men do not use words to apologize they show more action than words.

Reading the book: if you read the book vs listening this book is magnificent but I still include my personal opinions. I don’t think the author did anything wrong with this book. Well done

Trigger warning of Domestic Abuse, kidnapping & child abuse and continued emotional childhood trauma through the story.
Well written when you have an open mind to situations
Detailed enough to not be confused
Spicy love scenes
even came with a happy ending.

I wish the songs would have been done my Joe

Loved the story, loved both the leads (for the most part) and felt the over all story keeps you hooked through out the whole book.

LOVED!!! Highly recommend!

Narration 10/10
Story 10/10
There are some tough topics but also relatable ones too! I laughed, felt the frustration, and teared up with Aubrey and Jax.

Definitely adding to my favorites

Side note.. I read several reviews before buying that criticized the female narrators voice and honestly I could say a lot about just that.. like welcome to the 21st century not every females voice is super feminine and high pitched (myself included)
