About this listen

On his best days, Zero Slade is the worst man you can imagine. He has to be. It's the only way to save the Lost Girls.

During his seven years on a team fighting sex trafficking, Zero's become quite good at schmoozing with pimps, getting handcuffed by cops, and pretending not to care about the young girls he liberates. But the dangerous sting operations are starting to take a toll on his marriage and sanity. His affinity for prescription painkillers isn't exactly helping matters.

When the youngest girl the team has ever rescued gets abducted from a safe house in Cambodia, Zero decides to risk everything to find her. His only shot is to go rogue and sink deeper into the bowels of the trafficking world than he's ever sunk.

It's the biggest mission of his life. Trouble is, it's almost certain death.

Zero=10.

Levin is a great storyteller. Bold. Few would write about the horrors of trafficking children for sex but Levin writes boldly and darkly comedic about this with strong characters. This is the 4th book I have read by Levin and once again, he keeps me engaged, thinking and entertained. Well done!

Warning this book is not 4 everyone!But should be!

Kidnapping and pedophilia.

This is an excellent book written by an author who has published quite a few 4 point something star books on Amazon. This is his first on Audible.
The protagonist, Zero Slade is on a team with five to six other men. Operation Emancipation. They target the traffickers and pimps peddling preteen and younger girls. Zero works undercover as a customer. He acts like he's interested in bedding children between 5 and 12 years old. It's not up to him to arrest the creeps , just to set up deliveries of children to himself and his "demented" friends and act sexually aroused by them until the local police show up. They never actually touch any of the children. Some of the children don't want to go with the police, they have Stockholm syndrome. Sometimes the evil you know may be better then the unknown. Zero has to act like things don't bother him. It's part of his job to get close to the pimps not the children. It's taking a toll on him and his marriage. He has started taking OxyContin with an alcoholic boost.
On one of his missions he looks into the eyes of a five year old girl and something protective rises in him. He's not supposed to get attached but this time he does. When he finds out the girl has been abducted AGAIN. He has to go find her before it's too late. Before she's gone forever.
Matthew Williamson is a new narrator to Audible. His performance is outstanding!!!!
This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.

Great story

I really enjoyed this book. The performance was perfect with the story. I liked the characters and the story line was original and engaging. I could not wait to find out what would happen next. The ending was superb. I could not recommend this book more. I hope the author continues to entertain us with more novels.
