Fresh out of college, Hannah Brencher moved to New York and found a city full of people who knew where they were going and what they were doing. Lonely and depressed, she noticed a woman who looked like she felt the same way on the subway. Hannah did something strange - she wrote the woman a letter. When she realized that it made her feel better, she started writing and leaving love notes all over the city - in doctors' offices, in coat pockets, in library books, and in bathroom stalls. Feeling crushed within a culture that felt like connecting only on a screen, she poured her heart out to complete strangers. She found solace in the idea that her words might brighten someone's day.

Hannah's project took on a life of its own when she made an offer on her blog: She would handwrite a note and mail it to anyone who wanted one. Overnight her inbox exploded with requests from people all over the world. Nearly 400 handwritten letters later, she started the website The World Needs More Love Letters, which quickly grew.

I loved it. It is beautiful, and inspirational. Filled with love and heart. Truly unforgettable!

The 1st 3 hours is very slow!

It was difficult to get through the 1st 3 hours of the book with religious talk and no mention of writing the letters. Finally at the 3 hour mark the letters started. At least I like the narrator.

A Love Letter to Dreamers

I LOVED this book immensely, particularly the first half. Hannah brencher is a dreamer, a woman who observes the little things in life and is not ashamed of it. I found her observations about her life and that of others, finding the hope in people, is refreshing. She gives hope to those others have thrown away and, even at a distance, wants to love people as who they are, without judgment, condemnation, or justification.
I found Jorjeana Marie's performance was terrific. She became Hannah Brencher, writing her letters, mourning her friend, hoping and loving and falling on her face.
This book will appeal to the dreamers, the poets, the spiritual.

As a letter writer for More Love Letters, I was beyond excited that this title was available on Audible. Hannah's story is amazing. I cried more than once. And my commitment to the letter writing movement has been renewed, even if it never flagged. I can't wait to share this with friends and family.

Underrated

This book has a lot of heart. I felt like I was listening to a friend.

I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK!

I loved everything about listening to this book. The stories were engaging, the book was incredibly well written (I will likely buy it in print just to go back and highlight so many of the amazing quotes that made me pause the book and say "Wow! I need to write that down!"). I've been listening to this on my commutes into work in Tokyo, it felt like I had a friend sitting and encouraging me and reminding me that I matter, and that other people are looking to be reminded of the same. It helped a big city feel smaller. It reminded me that the little things we feel are insignificant can make a huge impact! I also think this reader became my new favorite! Her voice was so calming and welcoming and perfect for this book. She really has a natural gift for bringing the story to life and pulling you into it. I would recommend this book to Anyone and everyone! BUY IT!

I enjoyed this audiobook.

As I was listening, I kept thinking, "this was not how I imagined Hannah Brencher's voice would sound." It was when I decided to leave a review that I realized that it wasn't Hannah's voice. I quite enjoyed the book. I am happy that I gave it a listen. Parts of it have served as inspiration for sure. I am fascinated and impressed by her Mother's beautiful way of parenting and equally impressed by Hannah's way of noticing and appreciating her Mother. I enjoyed this book start to finish. I am thrilled that it has been published and that I found it. Thank you.

Jorjeana was an amazing narrator so yes!

What was most disappointing about Hannah Brencher’s story?

I felt that the story was drawn out and never really came to a conclusion. The beginning was the best part of the book.
