Publisher's summary

After cleansing the Argent Spire and driving out the hellspawn attempting to establish a foothold in Lor, Sebastian was hoping for some time to rest and enjoy the good things in life. Unfortunately, time is in short supply, and there’s no rest for the wicked.

It has become abundantly clear that recent events are a part of something much bigger, and as word of fallen Towers and corrupted Dungeons spread, the children of the gods make ready to fight back.

In the heart of the Dreadmarsh, the sound of war drums fills the air as Uba’s children are called together for the first time in generations.

With his status as a Warlock now known to the humans, Sebastian is offered a place amongst Uba’s children. But first he must earn it, and earn it quickly, for word as come from the east of a city under siege and the people have no time to wait on a single man.

Cross a deadly swamp, defeat a demon army, and seal a hole in the very fabric of reality. Just another day in the life of a hero…. Right?

Bards suck

I was able to get through the first two books because nobody really expects the MC to be a powerhouse in the beginning. That said this is the third book and the MC is as much of joke now as he was two books ago. I will never waste my time reading another book about a bard. Everything from fighting to magic is lame when you do it with a guitar. Don't get me wrong I love the guitar, but trying to make it the central part of your class is clunky and just dumb. Like climbing a wall to sneak up on a guard while carrying a guitar on your back makes sense to anyone ever. I think it wouldn't be so bad if the MC was somewhat competent or the least bit cool, but no, he is as useless now as he was in the first book. I just don't understand why an author would create a MC who whines and complains and makes himself look like a moron repeatedly. If the author starts a new series I will check it out, but I can't deal with any more bards.

Best EULA series I've ever read!

Out of all the series out there about not reading a EULA, this is my favorite! 😁
This is a really good story.
Great book 3.
I'm giving this book 8 out of 5 stars.

Really poor performance

There are just SO many major flaws with this performance.

First, the story itself is somewhat lacking - the MC is just stupid AF, which detracts a great deal from the overall story. One would hope that after three episodes, the author would deign to make his MC LESS stupid, but no such luck.

The performance with this episode was nothing less than abysmal. I lost count of how many times the voice actors started as paragraph, and then restarted that same paragraph, without removing the false start. Whether it’s on the actors or the editors, it’s a pretty sh***y performance. I could forgive once, and maybe even three times, but this happened over and over and over. To the point where I simply have to conclude it’s a really bad performance. Sorry, actors, if you got the raw end of the stick, but those are YOUR voices starting and restarting multiple times. Deal with it.

Then you have a new female voice actor stepping in for volume three. Sadly, the replacement is severely limited in the voices and accents she can do - all characters sound the same. I’m not saying the replacement is a BAD voice actress, but I stand by my statement that she is very much limited when compared with her predecessor.

All-in-all; the story (and especially the MC) desperately need some shoring up. The voice acting is abysmal. I strongly recommend you pass on this series.

love the series

voice actors are good but the editing makes it hard to listen to long pauses between people talking or times when the narrorator did a retake and it was left in.
