About this listen

I suffer from resting bitch face (RBF).

It’s sad but true. As a result, I turn people away. I’m not exactly bubbly and friendly. This is probably why my lonely job as a private investigator is perfect for my skill set. Usually, I’m very good at what I do. I get the job done and move on. But my latest assignment has thrown me for a loop. The satanic-looking Hyrrokin biologist I’ve been tracking has gotten under my skin. Sir Bane Ashmoor has become much more than a job. Through my telescopic lens, I can literally see my future unborn children in his deadly eyes.

I’m full-on stalking this monstrous guy as he charts the migration of fire-beasts, spending countless unbillable hours in the wildlands, watching his every attractive move. What is wrong with me?

When I trip and break my ankle my hot target finds me with my ass in the dirt, doing the full-on ugly cry. And he lifts me in his massive red arms and carries me back to his tent! He’s caring for me, and I think he really likes me. Basically, it’s a dream come true.

But what happens when Bane discovers he’s brought his stalker home? And he finds out who I really am, what I really do and who I work for?

Loved this addition to the series. I was so excited to listen to Bane’s story. This has action adventure and one wild ride. Loved the storyline and am so happy they got a HEA. Very excited for the next installment. I enjoyed the narration it was spot on.

Excellent

When It said stalker, I expected her to be at least a little mentally unstable. I wasn't sure how that would work but the character is mentally stable. She's more obsessed than stalker. The parts that would make her a stalker have good reasons behind.

Absolutely loved this entry but one complaint

There was no epilogue in this book unlike the rest of this series! I wanted to here their one year later epilogue and the story ended! But other than that this was great!

Love it!

Even though it gets pretty spicy 🔥🔥 and I am not used to some of the intimate language. I love this series! Curvy Girls finding hot honorable men(alien's but still men)who love them completely! what's not to love!!

Interesting Storyline

This book was ok; the story was interesting and different. Wish these books were sold as a one book series since they are short. Narrators did a good job.

Good narration, okay story

I have loved this series since the beginning, but I felt like there was something missing this time. I loved the level of obsession they both had for each other, and it was great to see previous characters towards the end, but that was pretty much the extent of my engagement with this one. Audio was well done though.

Boring

Michelle Mills’ Curvy Girls series is super fun and cute. I’ve read almost the entire series. I was really excited about this one because the premise is intriguing, but it totally fell flat. The story starts midway through, after the heroine is just about done stalking (investigating) the hero. There’s a long exposition at the beginning giving background that would have actually made for some interesting content and build up. Instead, there’s a long, painfully boring section in the middle where the two are biding time during the rainy season. The heroine has a ridiculous cover story that is immediately revealed to be false. A wildlife photographer would have made so much more sense! She even has the camera with a telephoto lens to fully back it up. There is no sexual tension. Can’t have sex because she hurt her ankle? And it was hard to view the hero as attractive with the female narrator’s version of the male’s voice making him sound like an old, old man. And the reason she was hired to investigate him in the first place made absolutely no sense. Suspension of disbelief is an absolute must to enjoy the books in this series, and they are usually a fun, light, low-angst read. I recommend focusing on the other books and skipping this one. If you do decide to read, skip forward a few chapters when they start talking about Star Trek Next Gen.

Not the best in the series

This is the most unbelievable book in the series. The female character is too ridiculous, her reasoning is nonsensical. I can’t get through it.
