He won't let anyone get in his way, not angelic armies, scheming guilds, or the people who want to talk about that time he altered the fundamental laws of magic. Which isn't as bad as it sounds, he promises.

Jason's taking a gap year, whatever he has to do to make it happen. Manipulate a prestigious noble house into liberating a slave town. Attempt to extort every government on the planet. Blow up and subsequently rebuild the occasional city. Gods help anyone who tries to stop him, but the gods probably won't because they've met Jason and they know how that usually goes.

A wild ride

First I have to say that Heath Miller is excellent in this. He always does a good job, but he surpasses himself in this one. Second, the story is just amazing. I reluctantly started this series, stopped after a few chapters in book one because I wasn't sue I was ready to keep reading. But when I decided to restart Book 1 I couldn't stop reading (or listening, since I use the audiobooks).

The stories are vast, yet personal. The characters are people you'd like to meet and be friends with. Jason Asano himself is something of a clown, something of a godling, and a person who really cares about how his actions affect other people. This causes the books themselves to seem very personal, even if they span across the galaxy and back again.

I couldn't be more grateful for this book series to fall into my life. Give them a try, get hooked, and enjoy every minute of it.

It's mostly a filler book

The plot is lacking a real direction, but not really in a bad way. After the last few books this is book is basically the story catching it's breath.

it is mostly getting the crew back together, roaming around doing random stuff, and covering how they are all gold rank and that Jason is a god who has unlimited power now.

I do love that the litrpg mechanics are now consolidated into one summary chapter rather than interrupting the story to discribe every ability and power. (Which is likely one of the reasons why this book is so much shorter!)

Never enough.

I need book 13 now… lol there is never enough time spent with team Biscuit! This was such a fun ride! Ah. Can’t wait for the next installment haha.

I need the next book longer

Good return and progression

This is a different sort of story now. When life and death isn’t the same problem it once was, that changes what one might consider a problem at all. The author did a good job of contextualizing the continued importance of staying alive for Jason however. I liked the pace in this volume. A lot was covered considering all the previous volumes. Almost a little bit of everything. It was not as thrilling as some of the previous but it was certainly entertaining nonetheless. The one downside maybe is that, considering how much was covered, I wish there had been a greater focus on the reunion of Jason with his team members. A lot of time did pass.

A favorite for this genre

Real character depth in truly interesting fantasy setting. Character and story development that really stand out in a crowded genre.

I’m not even finished with the book (audio book) and I want to declare Shirtaloon as a brilliant genius.

It was a great listen, I don’t want the series to ever end. Lots of smiles and laughs come from this series

can't believe it's already over

my favorite audible book series ever, it was the first one I started listening to 4 years ago and once I caught up I look forward to ever new release and am deeply saddened when I finish it just to wait again.
