Salvatore does it again
It's astonishing how listening to Salvatore's words can send me through time- back to when, as a child, I first read Homeland, Exile, and Sojourn.
Intuiting what was coming couldn't save me from being brought to tears. Anyone who knows Guen from her time at Drizzt's side will be delighted at this glimpse into her origin.

The great narration
I've followed the Icewind Dale companions for years. It was a treat to get some more history for them. Guen is just as an important character as the rest. Tom Felton's reading of this was very well done. I enjoyed it very much.

I like that Guenhwyvar has a beginning. I love it when Drizzt brought her forth. That was always a highlight to the story for me. The readers voice wasn’t as clear as I like but we are all different and that is fine.
