Perfect voice

Rosalyn Lander is the perfect voice for the entire Drow community. Her portrayal of these deliciously evil characters were right in point.. well done madam, well done.

Fun Romp thru the UnderDark

What made the experience of listening to Dissolution the most enjoyable?

great portrayal of these characters that would otherwise be the antagonists.

What other book might you compare Dissolution to and why?

well the rest of the series..Obviously if you enjoy menzoberranzan but would like a tale not centered around Drizzt this is a must have.

What does Rosalyn Landor bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I don't generally review books..but I wanted to comment on on the Narrator. She's fantastic her voice reminds me of Marina Sirtis's.She has a great pace and cadence.
As I grow as a listener from a pure reader a good narrator has become as important to the experience as the quality of the writing. Any fan of Dnd Fantasy will find Rosalyn an enjoyable listen that really delivers an excellent performance

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

nah it was all fun

Any additional comments?

my review goes for rest of series.. I don't want to say more for fear of Spoilers

A solid start

I read the entire War of the Spider Queen back when it was first released. The series is good. If you are an FR fan, read this series. It does NOT focus on Drizzt, but on several characters who you will recognize from Drizzt stories (Quenthel and Gromth Baenre moreso than anyone else, probably). If you are interesting in expanding your knowledge of the FR setting without the story being another Companions of the Hall story, these are for you. If you love drow, these are for you.

And if you really like these, there is a follow trilogy out there as well.

The brutality of Drow politics.

Brutal women and cunning men. There's something here for all fans of Drow and D&D.

Drow are the coolest

Great dive into Drow culture and very fast moving and intriguing plot. Definitely using it for inspiration for me DnD campaign.

Elementary my dear drow.

Seemed more like a Sherlock Holmes story than about the workings of the Drow. i kept picturing a Drow with a magnifying glass and one of those funny looking hats. it's weird for Drow to have British accents.

All round enjoyable

Good pacing. Well read. A little slow but the narrator carries it thru extremely well. I would highly recommend this.

Great novel

drows other then drizzt and jarlaxle. I find that it still follows the important hierarchy of mensobenzeran but putting the spot light on smaller houses make the story unique.
