Deep Del Toro, an Iniquus special operative on the Strike Force Team, listened to the radio as the announcer gave details of Lacey Stuart's upcoming press conference. He had watched video of her fighting off the FBI agent and escaping from a murder scene the night before, and now she was turning herself over to the police. What Deep's practiced eye saw in the video was a highly choreographed crime. But somehow Lacey had thwarted the professionals' plans. She was in imminent danger.

Love military backstory

I love all your romance/militray type love stories but my absolute favorite
I was so taken in by this story. I could not stop listening. I love the fantasy and intrigue of the characters and their situations. Add a beloved working dog and magical love story.

Love these characters!! Very good performance
I really love these characters and the way they are developed SO much. And Max is a wonderful K-9. What a story! It starts a little slow and builds a "world" and then has all the suspense and action that I love in these books. Great! I was cheering them on. I love the way breadth in the characters is written. The performance is very good. I had a little bit of trouble with Nutsbe's voice, because I still had "his voice" in my head from Beowolf (another great book!).But it really is a very good performance.
