Imagery

Dean Koontz is definitely an award-winning writer. He totally deserves any awards he gets. His books are always awesome and always keep me enthralled throughout the entire story. This one was a little different, but still great. We love you, Dean.

Not one of his best stories

I don’t want to spoil any of the story because some people will enjoy it and I like pretty much everything thing he writes. As always he builds good characters in this story and keeps you wondering what will happen next.

The great love and devotion of these friends is wonderful.

I enjoyed this book. I don't get the negative reviews. Mr. Koontz always surprises me with his outlook on life and love.

It's a fun trip into Kontz Land

Slick humor. Scary things. Freaky small town. Is it a good community, or are the neighbors you've known for decades bat shit crazy?

Great narrratiation

I have become a nudist and an avid swinger! I listened to the entire book while totally nude!

A different kind of story

The story was more fantastical than serious. The characters were well written. This is not the “normal” type of DK book. The actor’s voice was mellow and soothing. It worked in this story.

Disappointed

I typically like Dean Koontz’ books. Sadly by the end of this one I was disappointed that the evil entity did Not devour the protagonists!

curious but great

Ignore the bad reviews! It's as if Koontz was given some editorial advice, which he followed, sarcastically but accurately. He pared down his writing, and commented on the process along the way with wit, irony and wisdom.

It was decent.

Not a typical Koontz book. More of a dry comedy. He has so many #1 books. This one just didn’t grab my attention as much as his usual novels. Enjoyed it, however there wasn’t much Koontz in it.

I really enjoyed the book and koontz is def a fav. Great developed characters. I wish Brita would have gotten what she deserved or her mouth sweep shut.
