the introduction chapters are revolting.

This is such a good breakdown of how the MBTI works helping you better understand yourself and others. Definitely helps to use the accompanying pdf!

Worth the listen

I found this book very informative. Easy to listen to while I worked. Easy to understand and definitely a book for beginners. The authors do not focus on or give undue preference to any one type or function. They merely explain it in an objective way that allows new learners to MBTI to learn the foundations of typing without developing a prejudice to any of the functions. If you are confused about typing yourself and others, after reading this book, you will have a much stronger understanding.

Some reviews complained about not being able to see tables or graphs. Yes we cannot see them. But the author does talk about and explain them to the listener in depth. So if you are someone who needs to see the graphs to understand the material, it may be better to buy the book. I personally felt it quite easy to comprehend

A comprehensive book on the subject, original in it's approach and the best on personality ever Written.

Very interesting material

I thought that Patricia, the narrator, did a wonderful job. The text comes from a time before today's media savvy self-help have learned how to capture their audience's attention in a glib style. But don't let that minimize this material -- it is still as interesting as it is important and informative. And because the Myers-Briggs personality typology is timeless, it is still strongly relevant today as ever. I was looking forward to an audiobook version of Gifts Differing, so I am glad it has finally materialized.

Brilliant, succinct, eye-opening

Most highly recommended source of MBTI information I've found to date. I've listened to everything at least twice, some parts over 5 times.

The best MBTI explanation. So informative.

The original and still the best explanation of the MBTI I’ve heard. I found it necessary to listen at 0.5x speed, word by word. The chapters are played out very logically, going step by step thru each part of the type indicator. It then considers their combinations. It repeats points but in a new context so you build on what was previously said. Then it goes thru the types as played out in marriage, work relationships, and child development and poor development. I learned a lot about the different aspects that a person may find most valuable: the practical, the possible, the outcome, and the value.
