So much pure wisdom. Like drinking from a crystal fountain. No wonder C. S. Lewis called him his master. George MacDonald is my favorite author.

A wonderful selection of Christian Wisdom

CS Lewis gives George McDonald high praise as the author to whom he went for Christian wisdom and truth and testifies that he quoted him in virtually everything he wrote. So what a blessing it is to have CS Lewis choose for us the very Best of McDonald! The reason I gave this book for stars overall rather than five is that, as another reviewer has stated, A readable version of the book would better support the considerable reflection required on many of the thoughts offered by McDonald. I Combined the benefits of the verbal presentation by purchasing both the Kindle and the audible version so that I could read along while listening and pause and reflect when they going got challengingThis book is for anyone interested in a deeper understanding of his Christian worldview.

Meditations from Mac Donald

These are an excellent collection of George Mac Donald's quotes. Because these quotes deserve meditation and reflection, they would better be considered in writing rather than audio.

Good Bits of Wisdom

If you don't mind listening to a bunch of very enlightening short bits of wisdom, then read this book. This book os not one cohesive narrative.

Words from a big one era

While the words are from a person long dead, I found that in some ways what he was facing is the same as today.

Excellent insights and well interpreted by the reader

I have listened to this inspiring and thought provoking production many times. Each time coming away with new ideas on God and mankind and good and evil and love to chew on and think over.

very good but make sure you listen to full sermons

some hard things in here but if you listen to the full sermons you'll understand the context and realize that he's not a legalist. by grace you are saved and transformed. you cannot be saved without being transformed.
