Hard to Finish

The female character has PTSD but didn't deal with it. I wish someone had suggested therapy. Not a big fan of the narrators.

Great story

It has a lot of action, trust and passion. This book had me wanting to keep listening. I couldn’t wait to get back to listening when I got off work. A great read can’t wait to her the next one.

By the end I forgot how it all started

By the end of the story I had forgotten how it all started maybe the book could be a bit shorter. I had it figured out way before the ending exposed the outcome. Wish I could have had an epilogue that was 3 years down the road

I like the series

I like the series, but the female narrator makes it difficult to continue. The male narrator was good.

Darkly Vanilla

Battered Wife situation where she was also sexually assaulted by the ex husband. This is very important to the story seeing as how the MMC won't touch her till he feels she's ready. The book is a good read/listen.

Story is vanilla, he even tells her he's not a Dom. However he is a dominant all day everyday just not in the BDSM style. When they finally do become intimate, the scenes are darkly hot!

Better than the first

I actually liked the story of Angelino and Samara a little better than the first book of Matteo and Ivory. I just connected right away to this story. Even the female narrator sped her speech and it works better than her cadence for Ivory. I like the books just not enough to spend credits on the rest of them. They are being taken off of the free shelves!

Hot Adventure!

This story will keep your interest. I recommend you listen to Bloodied Hands first. They run together, even though they can be standalone.
Lino and Samara grew up together and were best friends. Samara married a man that was cruel to her. Lino called her Little Dove and he wouldn’t touch her until she was free of her husband. He ran a mafia business and the women flocked to him.
Meghan Kelly and Patrick Zeller were fantastic narrators. Patrick has a sexy growl to his voice and Meghan is a true professional! She can bring out all the emotions in the characters. They are a great team! I was watching every second through their voices.

WHY??

the story is spectacular.
Patrick Zeller is an AMAZING narrator who brings incredible art to everything he narrates
BUT... The female narrator WAS. AWFUL.
unfortunately, she narrates every single book in this series with Patrick Zeller. I plowed through this book because the story is so good... but I will be reading the following books because the female narrator kills it.

Forgivable Sins

This book🎧was difficult to complete I would like to say it was fantastic but it wasn’t! Thankfully this book was free so no need to use a credit!

Another tired damsel in distress...no....Just No!

Not a big fan of the female narrator (Meghan Kelly). She sounds whinny. Patrick Zeller sounds like Christopher Walken. I had major issues with consistency. The MFC’s attitude was unnecessarily aggressive with some ppl and yet with other ppl she let them walk all over her. Also, the whole idea of ‘everyone knew they were crazy for each other’ except the main characters..... was weak as they seem to pick and choose 'when' they knew how the other felt about them. The MFC was so unlikable. She gave major damsel in distress vibes and made several 'blonde’ mistakes. Additionally, it is hard to believe a woman who has a brother and male best friend in the mafia would go years without telling either of them her husband was abusing her. AND there was WAYYY too much ‘telling’ and not ‘showing’ in this book. So the reader never got to experience why these two fell in love at a young age. We just had to take the author’s word for it. The only saving grace for this book were the steamy scenes. Overall, I hated the MFC and could not understand why he loved her. Frustrating. I will not continue reading this series.
