About this listen

Discover the truth he wants you to know! The man in your life is keeping secrets. They’re so deep inside he barely knows they're there, much less how to talk to you about them. Yet he genuinely wants you to "get" him - to understand his inner life, his fears, his needs.... In her landmark best seller For Women Only, Shaunti Feldhahn reveals what every woman - single or married - needs to know. Based on rigorous research with thousands of men, Shaunti delivers one eye-opening revelation after another, including:

  • Why your respect means more to him than your love
  • How he feels deep inside about his role as provider
  • What it means for a man to be so visually "wired"
  • Why sex for him is primarily emotional, not physical
  • What he most wishes he could say to you

Now, in this expanded and updated edition, you'll find insights from the latest brain research plus an all-new chapter that shows what’s really going on when he seems to "check out". (You’ll be surprised and pleased.) Millions worldwide have already experienced dramatic change in their relationships because of the "aha!" moments and practical ideas in this little audiobook. Discover how to love your man for who he really is - not who you think he is.

Help for both Women and Men!!

as a man reading this for the woman in my life, I was astonished at truly how accurate it all was! I also learned some things I did not know about myself! This book should be a must read for all couples entering into marriage for the first time, or more!

Good info/didn’t know it was Christian based

There’s a lot of good info here about how men think but I didn’t see anything that described this book as Christian based before purchasing. I’m not religious so at times that was a bit off putting for me. In certain instances the only advice was to “pray” and that wasn’t especially helpful. And I’m not sure how helpful it is even for religious people. I think maybe focusing on acceptance would be better advice. I also found some of the content in the chapter about men being visual offensive - especially the story about a group of young women being convinced that they were causing young men to be sexually distracted. I understand that men are bombarded with sexual images and wired that way - and I have no problem with that, I am one of the visual women she refers to - but I don’t think it’s fair to place the onus on women or girls and/or to make them feel uncomfortable with their own sexuality. Instead I think we should recognize and accept that we are all sexual beings. I think that bc this is religiously focused it not very practical- it’s more focused on curbing those thoughts/desires instead of looking at How a couple might use it to their advantage in some way, like the idea of “the third” ester perel discusses in her books. It’s just very narrow minded sexually speaking...

Thank you Feldhahns!

My heart cried, "AMEN!" so many times as I read this book and learned I'm pretty normal rather than the cad my wife has been telling me I am. Hopefully, she will read it now and realize I'm pretty normal too.

A gem!

This book really blessed me and gave me valuable insight on understanding my relationship with my boyfriend. The distinguishing factor with this book is that Feldhahn’s insights come from the mouths of men themselves. I highly recommend.

Amazing!!

This book is awesome, there’s deep truths that are hard to accept but it’s an honest book. And I am definitely more aware of my husbands heart. I recommend this book to every single woman. It is powerful and it will definitely give you a biblical perspective of our men.

Really Eye Opening and painfully honest on our perceptions

I listened to this book and in amazement I heard where there were times my husband and I had experienced similar situations. We have been married for 22 years and this as still eye opening. In fact the part where she spoke of taking care of our selves and trying to still look good for our husbands was all to real. My husband almost word for word said what the author said. Over the 20+ years I have doubled my weight since we got married. Yes I have had 2 kids but that is not the problem. I stopped caring and didn’t feel I need to try anymore. When my husband lovingly and gently brought it up after one of my doctors appointment he went with me too. It was after we got home he spoke to me I our bedroom away from anyone’s ears that he told me it hurt him that I don’t try to take care of myself for my health or appearance. He said I am beautiful without my makeup and he is just fine with that and I dr as neat and nice but it is my appearance and weight that he is concerned about. I am now having health issues because of it and said he wants me around for a long time and he is afraid I won’t be because I am not trying anymore. Long story short this brought me to tears hearing it in this book. I understand now what he is really saying because even though he said it loving and gently it still hurt hearing it from him and I was not able to hear his love and concern. My ears heard he was calling me fat and felt he was ashamed and embarrassed by me when actually h was not saying that at all!

Thank you for your book and guidance I am going to go home and hug my husband and tell him thank you for loving me as much as he does and get on a plan to get this weight off! For me and for him!!!

Praise God!! ❤️🙏

excellent and eye opening!

this book was a great read, I have already noticed a difference in my relationship just by understanding the way a man thinks versus just my feelings towards certain topics.

Every mother should give this to her daughter before marriage or after marriage. What an eye opener.
