this is the best book i’ve come across on how to learn a language efficiently and retain what you learn, but i left 4 stars overall since the PDF is missing :( i listened once just to hear the whole of the information and will listen a second time in stages as i delve into my language

The only negative is that there doesn't seem to be the included pdf that is mentioned throughout the book.

Very helpful language learning tool!

I use a broad array of materials for my current Spanish language journey. This book didn’t teach me any actual new Spanish words, but it was well worth its time and expense in learning studying techniques.

Highly recommended - useful, modern and practical insights and takeaways for all levels

The book is really insightful and introduces useful techniques with detail that makes them easy to apply and implement. I am fluent in five languages and have already been using many of the tools discussed in the book (anki, italki, etc.) and still I had countless takeaways that will improve the way I learn and use languages going forward. I found it relevant for beginners, advanced learners and speakers, and it even has specific tips for heritage speakers and false beginners. Really comprehensive and engaging. I saw that some of the older comments noted that the accompanying pdf is missing - this does not seem to be the case (at least as of 04/2025), I had no problem accessing the pdf. It can be found either in the top right corner menu when listening to the book, or at the top of the outline of the book's chapters.

Nice intro to language learning

This is a great break down of how to go about learning a new language as a busy adult. The PDF is a nice supplement to the audio.
