About this listen

Felix

Things I expect to find at Gadleigh Castle:

  • Rare stained glass, the subject of my dissertation
  • Peace and quiet, to finish said dissertation
  • An escape from the paparazzi swarming around my starlet mother’s latest blockbuster release

Things I don’t expect to find:

  • A hidden door leading to a secret room
  • The most gorgeous man I’ve ever set eyes on
  • Love

Lio

Things I know are expected of me in life:

  • One day soon, I will become the King of Liorland.
  • I will marry a nice woman who will become queen.
  • I will provide heirs to my family’s monarchy.

Reasons that might be difficult:

  • I’m gay.
  • I’m falling in love with Felix Wilde.
  • He has no idea I’m royal.

While it can definitely be enjoyed on its own, Felix and the Prince is the second novel in the new Forever Wilde series about the huge Wilde family from Hobie, Texas, whose patriarchs aren’t above a little meddling if that’s what it takes to help their grandkids find true love.

Beware: Nekkid man parts touch. Let's just say, Felix gets royally screwed in the very best way.

Love ir.

I dont usually like audible books because I find it hard listen to thr same voice doing male and female parts. But I think I've been converted. I loved reading Felix snd the Prince so I thought I'd try it. OMG I loved it!! I have read several comments about how good Michael Pauley is and I totally agree. He was excellent with all the different accents and voices. I love Felix and I am so happy he and Lio got to be together. I loved the history of Gadleigh Castle so much that I want to go there. I guess that shows what such a good writer Lucy Lennox is. I cant wait for the next one

Forever Wilde #2

Felix’s grandfathers have sent him on a special trip to Gadleigh Castle to study their rare stained glass so he can finish his dissertation and get away from the papparazi that descend on their small Texas town every time Felix’s mother, a famous (and infamous) actress, releases a new film.

When he meets Lio they both have something to hide. Felix hides his mother’s fame, and Lio hides that he’s the soon to be crowned King of Liorland.

They come from different worlds, and are going in different directions, so how hard can it be not to fall in love? Spoiler: it’s impossible.

Do you like the whole commoner falling in love with Royalty trope? Do you like super hot sex scenes? Do you like some humor mixed with your romance? Have you read anything else by Lucy Lennox and enjoy her writing style? Then run, do not walk, to pick up Felix and the Prince.

Felix and the Prince is an adorable, humorous, sexy as hell, sweet, with only a sprinkling of angst, romance with an absolutely sigh-inducing happy ending.

Michael Pauley brings the Wilde family, and Lennox’s fictional Grimaldi royal family, to life. He highlights the character’s emotions without being over the top about it and makes this an enjoyable listen. I like his character voices, and appreciate that he voices the female characters without being super high pitched. But beware of listening to those sex scenes while at work! *fans self*

Cannot say enough how sweet & sexy this story is!

I’ve read all the books in this series and am now back to this one again ! Originally I wasn’t going to listen to this one because Felix seemed so meek but oh no! He isn’t. He’s sweet and sexy and he lets Lio be the the best version of himself ... and Lio does the same for him. I laughed out loud and smiled .
The narrator is a fantastic actor and the sexy parts are passionate (& loud .. had to turn the volume down a couple times lol)
It’s no “Him” but This is going on my favorites list to be listened to again and again

I love Felix and Lio!

Felix is adorable and Lio is so sweet to him. I love seeing these two men work through seemingly huge circumstances to be together. I like that this book mostly takes place in a castle. It allows my imagination to run. The Wilde family is great, and I love seeing the interactions between Felix, Lio, and Felix's family.

A real winner, a special treat for all of us

This book was great. both Felix and Lio were amazing characters. In addition to their amazing story I learned some incredible facts about stained glass. This book was full of steamy love with enough sweetness to smooth everything over. it's a really good read.
Happy reading

A- rating...

My Review:
Overall: 4.25
Performance: 4.5
Story: 4.25

Aww, who would have guessed...a royal relationship for one of the Wildes. Although an unexpected pairing, I did really enjoy this story. I never considered before what being gay might do to a monarchy. It makes you wonder how many royals have been gay in the past and simply hidden it or buried those inclinations.

But between that whole issue and the absolutely gorgeous visuals of the Gadleigh glass...and I just loved this story. I could picture everything about this windswept castle so well and really want to visit there...if only it were real.

Like all the Lucy Lennox stories, this is just pure entertainment. There isn't a ton of angst, but there is emotion and wonderfully developed characters. I liked the conflict on this one...both with Lio and the issue with being a gay king, but also Felix's aversion to press, which is something that is definitely a constant in Lio's life. But I also loved that they had time for their relationship to develop before those conflicts truly became an issue in the story.

Overall, this was another GREAT Lucy Lennox audiobook. I know that when I grab one of hers that I'm going to be totally enchanted and not want to walk away from the audiobook. I'm ready for more in this series!
