I love the story and how they were able to work together so in the future they are together. With a daughter for the future, can’t wait to see what’s next.

Super sweet Licking Thicket snippet!

Collin and Ryder’s story is short and sweet, with a ton of heat. If you’re a Licking Thicket fan, you will love this prequel!

WHAT HAPPENED TO LICKING THICKET???😬

This novella, #3 in the series, was a touch disappointing. Granted, it's a short story set in a house the two MC's were remodeling, but I truly wanted more reveals of the charming community at large. It was enjoyable, with romance leading the way; these talented authors are no strangers to passion & human need/desire.
That did not disappoint.

Michael Dean's swoon-worthy tones worked their magic, taking the listener to the heights of their hot desire. Bravo on using this talented narrator yet again!!

Here's to a book four soon.....

Snowy Truths

The distance from hate to love is really short especially when you are snowed in. I like how they both revealed their truths to get to a HEA epilogue. The audio was a lot of fun to listen to.

The perfect short story!!

OY I broke my rule and listened to Flakes by Lucy Lennox and May Archer BEFORE I read it! OMG I loved it...Colin and Ryder's story is super sweet, so very sexy and downright adorable...These 2 couldn't be more opposite and yet, they fit perfectly! Hot, huge, muscled, tatted, construction contractor Ryder and the adorable, snarky, sweet and sexy, interior designer Colin are "frenemies" with some smoking hot chemistry...Set in a forced proximity situation, can a game of truth or shot lead to love?? GAH..A fabulous short listen that I recommend highly...Michael (Pauley) Dean's Colin narration was fantastic!! I was in stitches from the get go as expected from Lucy and May!!

10 stars don't do justice. Colin and Ryder are perfect for each other, and the 5 yr gap for epilogue was brilliant. Michael was eargasm worthy. Don't miss this one

Fun start to a new series!

This is a fun start to a new series. Ryder and Colin have known each other for years, and they finally give in to their mutual attraction when they're snowed in on a joint project. This is a short book that introduces new characters towards the end that I assume we'll see more of in future books in the series. Already, I'm a fan of this little town in Tennessee. I hadn't read the blurb before I started listening so I had the fun surprise of listening to this book that takes place one New Year's eve on New Year's eve.

Sweet and short!

This was a short, sweet and quick listen.

I loved Colin and Ryder's story it was cute and they were perfect for eachother.

This book is a prequel in the Licking Thicket series and can be listened to as a standalone. I really wished this story was longer as the author did a brilliant job on the character development.

Although this was a 2 hr listen I was drawn the story and the characters.

Michael Dean's audio delivery and narration was absolutely brilliant!

Cute and funny novella

Prequels are always interesting. Licking Thicket began as a one-off for Ms. Lennox and Ms. Archer. Their first book was loved by fans, and I believe the writing duo had fun with the collaboration. And so came book 2. When the opportunity to create a short origin story arose, the women took it.

Ryder and Colin are an established couple in the first book, with their daughter Sadie. But what was their backstory? How did they wind up getting together? This book answers those questions.

I enjoyed the (sort-of) enemies to (very much) lovers story. There are reasons the two men have been antagonistic to each other, and they weren’t things I could have predicted. And, personally, I’ll never look at tacky flamingoes the same way again.

This is a fun flirty book and it’s in the epilogue that I got my Licking Thicket fix.

Two more quick notes – I adore Michael Dean and just thought he was fabulous narrating this story and I really liked that Colin was on the cover. Of the two characters, he definitely had the most sass – a trait I admire in memorable characters. If you’re starting here, you’ll definitely want to move on to Books 1 and 2 and I personally cannot wait for Book 3.

Say what you mean and mean what you say.

I enjoyed this short story very much. Mostly because I used to be a sarcastic person until I met the love of my life. The voice of the character in the first chapter reminded me of the beginning of my relationship. I still reflect on how ‚my love’ said the first two- three years of our developing relationship „say what you mean and mean what you say.“. I am now married to him and have been together 20+ years. He is presently in a dementia care home. I will love him forever.
