Fat girls like me don’t make the prime time hours on shows like Omega Girls. Instead, if our number comes up, we’re relegated to the late night spots as we search for a pack. I get one camera guy—Arlo, who is a beta, of course—and some motion-activated cameras. I’m basically entertainment for insomniacs and obsessives. But I never wanted to be a star, so that’s the least of my problems.

I’m much more concerned about one very angry alpha, a feral felon who has been assigned to "take the edge off" my heat spikes until I settle on a pack. Apparently the show pulled him out of prison just to... keep me calm. He's bulky and bitter and seems to prefer punching people to talking. But as soon as I scented him, I knew there was more to him than a feral with a record. Not that he's interested in hearing that from me. He'll be watching over my shoulder during pack interviews, too. That's gonna go great.

And then there’s the fact that Arlo just keeps getting more attractive. He works for the show, which makes this attraction strictly out of bounds… but can I help it if my blood pumps faster every time he’s in the room?

Reese

Getting out of prison early on good behavior is one thing. Getting out so I can take the edge of some omega for the cameras is another. Not that I can expect to get close to an omega any other way -- a feral with an omega? I think it's hilarious.

That is, until I meet her. There’s no way around it: I fall hard. Everywhere I go, I’m haunted by those deep velvet eyes, and a scent that makes my instincts roar. She makes me want to promise her things I know I can’t deliver. I’m a criminal—a loser—and I can’t seem to stop putting my foot in my mouth when she’s around. I need to stay out of her way so she can choose someone else. It doesn't matter how much I want her.

As for Arlo, I should want him even less. He’s the reason I went to prison. I’ve hated him since I was fifteen. So why does his scent seem to follow me as much as Haven's? The two of them are so sweet, I want to take a bite. But I know that neither of them can be mine.

Fat Omega is a non-shifter Sweetverse novella with lots of steam, some light sub/dom play, and highly sexual situations, aimed at adult audiences. Happily ever after guaranteed for this MMF throuple. This is the first in a series of novels about the reality show Omega Girls, penned by sci-fi and paranormal author Juniper Kerry. It is loosely tied to her Dark Hollow universe.

So-so

I absolutely loved the story and it was definitely captivating. The only thing for me was the voice. I don’t like that it’s AI voice generated. It didn’t pull the whole story together for me. But other than that it is a great listen, funny and sexy.

amazing story

this story was amazing. the plot was great and kept me on the edge. the characters were so well developed, I felt connected to all of them.

AI voice disappoints

The story is cute but the AI voicing is kind of horrible. It was hard to tell who was talking because there was no change in the voice or style of
narration. Pauses happened in odd places and for strange, unnatural lengths. Inflections and emotions often didn’t fit what was happening in the narrative. It was a free listen so I’m not angry, but if I’d spent money or credits on it I would be pissed.

Absolutely hated the narration. Mis-spoken words, irregular pauses and tone was just terrible. The ai narration with this book does the author a disservice of their work.

Bad narrative.

I have heard some good narratives voices but this one is t one of them. And I would think a company as big as Audible would have them.
As for the story. Hard to tell thought the horrific voice. But it seemed to have poor writing skills.

Narration distracted from novel potential

Honestly the story wasn’t bad but the fake narration was. There is no differentiation between the characters which makes it hard to keep track of who’s talking sometimes. There is no inflection. The artificial “inflection” is often incorrect. Words blend in poor groupings changing the meaning of the sentences. Words are mispronounced, words put in where grammatical notations should be. There is just no feeling to the performance drastically affecting my opinion of the story as a whole unfortunately.
