loved it!

Fascinated by the story. Enjoyed it very much. The last few chapters had me hooked to listening Nonstop.

Not bad

The beginning half of the book wasn't at all what I thought it would be. It took a lot to convince myself to continue reading. the second half of the book sped up and switched gears and then it became hard to put down! Overall a pretty good read, not my favorite but not bad at all.

Worth the listen.

I was skeptical when I was reading the narrative of this. It was really enjoyable. I couldn’t stop listening. To some people it won’t make sense, and to some make all the sense.

Great book!

I enjoyed listening to this book. It has everything I love - running, shopping, glamour, sexy scenes, craziness ,courage, and reality! While I don't understand this mental disorder at times it was hard to gain sympathy for Suzie but needless to say it was a great book to listen to while I did my running! Loved it!

Yes. Anyone who's dealing with this disorder and has someone in their life who does should read this.

What did you like best about this story?

I honestly came because I was curious about how she went from the Olympics to being an escort and by the time the book ended, I had a new understanding of my sister who's been battling the same disorder. I had no idea she was fighting such a hard battle. Thank you.

This is very NSFW. Mostly honest and heart wrenching. Being bipolar myself, I definitely understand.

someone like me

as she described the first hotel room she worked in I had flashbacks of my own experiences. I was on the elliptical on at the gym not knowing if i was going to be able to finish the book without triggering a manic episode. I share so much in common with Suzy and it feels great to know I'm not alone.

Amazing story of recovery and insight into the journey of bipolar disorder

Suzy does a great job of telling her story and really engaging the reader to understand why she did what she did. He husband is truly a saint and they are so blessed to have each other. The story is shocking, but as the reader, you sympathize with her journey and want her to get better. Wow!

Wisconsin girl

Being from Wisconsin and knowing of Suzy over the years with her running ability and then about her being an escort it intrigued me to read/listen to this book to see why. Sad to find out that all along she had bipolar disease and I am sure that is why she never went anywhere in the Olympics...such as shame. Hope she can help a lot of people with her story. Couldn't turn the book off wanted to keep listening to see what was next. A must read book or listen.

I understand the progression of the disease and the anxiety related to running, but the whole book had a tone of "poor me" and "it wasn't my fault" Almost justifying her behaviors and not taking responsibility. I was hoping that would happen in the end, but it did not.
