Great History

Life is fragile, this confluence of events almost wiped it out. It is easy to go to war, it’s not easy to go to peace.

This was very easy to listen to

Easy to digest. Good Narration. Good insight into the key characters of the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Good background on events I was too young to understand at the time.

My earliest memory of public events was JFK’s assassin and my parent’s reaction and the clock on walk of the newsroom when it was announced on TV are the limits of that,

The early cold war story, particularly the resistance in Berlin were not something I learned about in school. This filled some gaps in my education. The narrator went beyond simple recitation and energized the story

Fantastic Listen

The book does a fantastic job summarizing the events of the Cold war. It is aimed at middle school or high school students, but does an excellent job giving the facts in an interesting and well paced way. I really think any fan of history would enjoy it.

Stupidity of leadership on both sides.

A good tell tell story of my generation of fools. It goes on today still.
