About this listen

Love is in the heir in this royally good rom com – narrated by Kathryn Drysdale, also known as Madame Delacroix in Bridgerton.

From her bedroom in the Tower of London, twenty-six-year-old Maggie has always dreamed of her own fairy-tale ending.

Yet this is twenty-first century London, so instead of knights on white horses, she has catfish on Tinder. And with her last relationship ending in spectacular fashion, she swears off men for good.

And then a chance encounter with Royal Guard Freddie forces Maggie to admit that she isn’t ready to give up on love just yet… But how do you catch the attention of someone who is trained to ignore all distractions?

Can she snare that true love’s first kiss… or is she royally screwed?

Love is in the heir in this royally good rom com – perfect for anyone who likes relatable heroines (with great hair), hot and aloof book boyfriends (with great hats), near misses, almost kisses and a corgi or two.

Great Book Debut!

Really enjoyed this book. Not the standard fare. I enjoyed the romance but loved the history thrown in made the book unique especially knowing the author lives surrounded by the history. I bought this book on a lark but will follow Megan Clawson and look forward to more. Thank you Ms. Clawson

Really Enjoyed

Maybe not the most original storyline but the environment was and it was well executed. Made me really want to visit and felt invested in the characters. I might have cried a little at the end. Well done for this brilliant young author. I look forward to her next one…

Fun “insiders” tale of love, history, and The Tower!

Loved the characters, the history tidbits and the glimpse into this community! As an American, I can’t want to go back to London and visit the tower again. will definitely have a deeper appreciation of the people that work and live there. The audible version is a terrific listen as well. Megan. Lawson’s 1st novel is well done and I look forward to more!

Fun read

It was a really good book! It was fun and light hearted and I enjoyed the character arc. I can’t wait to see what Clawson does in her future books. Now I must grab my passport and travel to London Tower myself!

A wonderful debut, packed to the brim with wit, history, and a brutally honest love story. I'm looking forward to reading the next one from this new author.

Such A Sweet But Still Interesting Story

I follow the author on IG and wanted to support her so I bought the book. Not generally what I read/listen to but I thought I’d listen to a bit so I can say I tried it out. I couldn’t stop listening! I LOVED it! The book is timely, relevant to now, sweet, and also historical, romantic, and still keeps you guessing until the end. There is a twist I didn’t expect and it was great to have that extra layer. The performance was amazing! I loved the voices. It was easy to keep the characters apart. Fun and sweet! I truly enjoyed “Falling Hard for the Royal Guard!”

Brain/ romance food for the history enthusiast.

Wonderfully written, gripping with excellent character details, and relatable neurosis. Certainly worth the read! Well done. 💗

I can’t handle the reader, great story though.

The reader was flat, no emotion behind any of the words. Something funny or big would happen and it had zero inflection. The story is wonderful I loved it, but had to turn it off and read it myself due to the reader.
