Enemies Foreign And Domestic is a domestic terrorism thriller set "in the near future." The story begins on opening day of the NFL season, when bullets begin to rain down upon the upper deck of a packed football stadium. A panic stampede ensues, leading to mass casualties. The alleged sniper is found holding a smoking assault rifle, and is killed by a police marksman.

One week later, Congress bans the private possession of all semi-automatic assault rifles. Gun owners are given one week to turn in their semi-automatic rifles, or face a five year mandatory sentence.

The plot revolves around the true identity of the actual sniper. The alleged sniper killed at the scene may be a patsy, and many Americans refuse to turn in their banned weapons, leading to a civil crisis in the nation between supporters of the 2nd Amendment and a federal government trending toward tyranny.

Exciting Story was written ahead of it's Time .

I would recommend it , has a great possible scenario for what is happening today . Good Plot , kept my attention .

I couldn't put it down.

Reads like today's headlines. As if it was written through premonition. I listened to the audio book rather than read a hard copy.

Best book i have listened to in years! sad part is, it's coming true now.

Great story but narrator sounds like he is speaking into a bucket.....

I thought this was an excellent story. Very well thought out, great plot. Only drawback is on the audible version is that the sound quality is the worst I have ever heard. I like the narrator and thought he did very well. The sound quality sounds like they used an analog tape to record this. Later books on the series have this corrected. Wish they would fix this book.

Great story, horrible reader.

Narrator was just terrible. Get ready to adjust speed to make it listenable. Some chapters are low and slow, and some are fast with no breaks for periods or paragraphs. A note to the publisher, get a new narrator, one such as Duke Fontain. I gave it two stars for performance because he could be worse, but he could be alot better.

Great book that could be too realistic

The only negative I would give this book is for the cussing. If not for that it would be 5 stars. I can picture this type of thing happening at any time. The reading performance is very monotone with no variation in character’s voices.

Great story, monotone reader, low recording

Great story. reader has a unique and enjoyable voice but is monotone and runs everything together. also some chapters good quality others insanely low quality.

listening horror

I had to stop listening, I could only make it through 3 chapters of this torture. I kept hoping the sound quality would improve, it didn't. The sound was quite good in the forward but as soon as he said Chapter One it was like her was calling in from a cellphone. sometimes he sounded almost automated without even taking pauses between sentences, at other times there were pauses mid-phrase (likely when he was turning a page). The story is interesting, I may check it out from the library.

Pretty good!

The story is pretty good, although quite wordy. The performance however is hammered dog shat. A guy sitting inside a steel barrel reading into an old cassette recorder.
