The book was insightful, genuine and entertaining. it covers the long life and service of Queen Elizabeth II in a historical, amusing and detailed way. I especially enjoyed hearing it read by the author, who brings so much more real life to the reading of the book. I love it and will listen to it again., many times, I am sure.

This is a great book on the life of Queen Elizabeth II. I’ve read quite a few on her life, and even I was surprised by some of the facts and great amount of detail in this book.

One of the best!

What a treasure this book was! One of the best books I’ve read/heard about one of the best, Queen Elizabeth, II. The author/ narrator did an excellent job writing and narrating the book. From start to finish this book was a splendid treat!

Overall presentation

Interesting story presented with detail but in related context across her life. Well told. Narrator talked too fast like needed to slow down to 90x.

This was such a great read. The author narrates superbly, and provides intimate details about the late Queen Elizabeth II and the royal family, without being gossipy or inappropriate. He strikes that balance perfectly. I read memoirs, biographies and auto-biographies by the dozens and this one is in my top 5. i highly recommend it.

Love the writing style!

I enjoyed listening to this. The style is perfect. And the author actually met both the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, which made his account of events more reliable. 5 stars.
