About this listen

Alien nano machines grant everyone stats and levels...while giving rise to a new race of cybernetic horrors. Human civilizations crumbles, a crushed alien ship their only hope.

As a martial arts instructor, Nori has always had a simple purpose in life: Help underprivileged kids build confidence and self-discipline. Now she'll have to do so for everyone else, too.

It all started with a mist, one that gave everyone stats and levels, but also disabled technology and transformed animals and humans into cybernetic horrors that preyed on the living. Within months of its inception, civilization had crumbled.

When Nori and two terrified students find a crushed alien spacecraft, they also find a glimmer of hope. Though damaged and barely functional, the vessel presents mankind with its first chance to retake the world from the unrelenting monsters. Using the new System, a vast universe of possibilities beckons them to restore and upgrade the ship into becoming humanity's new beacon of hope…but only if they can survive the relentless onslaught of mutated beasts.

Love all Shemer’s series and this smaller one is just awesome. Jeff perfomance is superb as always. Can recommended for everyone who love space adventures and LitRPG flavor.

Love it

I really enjoyed the story, the characters, and the pacing. Sound Booth Theater did its usual great job, but it helps that the author writes so well, too.

Great Story

I didn't realize this was a LitRPG, but it's definitely different and definitely worth it. Great story, but honestly would have been better without the LitRPG elements and was just strictly a sci-fi story.

Still 5 stars.

Duped into another LitRPG but I ain't even mad

Starts off hard to listen too but DAMN it was funny. The banter between some of the characters was epic.

Worth It

So the performance was amazing and I LOVE the universe the author created. However the storyline when it comes to dealing with certain areas of the story (spoiler alert) it seems they completely disregard real consequences of what they did and the story continues like it never existed, for example: they experimented on an alien and suddenly they forgot about that EVER happening in ANY of the books, so what was the point of them actually brining it up if its just going to be *OH TROUBLE! not anymore!*
So I'll give the story 4 stars because the consequences for the terrible actions of the characters are really non existent.

Amazing performance bit lackluster on consequences

the story overall was very entertaining. my bigger issue was some of the characters. Lana in particular. I did not care for her character or for the voice actor that did her. other than that not too bad.

Not to bad

Jeff is an amazing narrator, I have never been disappointed by anything he has done

Enjoyable

Good plot and character development! Wish the story continued but it was good for an open and close story.

Great story!

this is such an enjoyable series. the original book 1 was ruined by the old narrator. Jeff however brings a whole cast of voices himself and lets this story shine. hopefully Shemer decides to continue on with this series.

so glad that they changed the narrator
