Much more complex and nuanced story than most romcom

Overall, I liked it, but once again, I felt duped by the “heartfelt romance” recommendation while there were sexual scenes that I would really rather not come across.

Catholic guilt and finding love

I really liked the story. There was plenty of tension in the plot and between the love interests that kept engaged. I want to read the next book! Tyler and Nina's story? A different angle that I want to hear.
However, I didn't like the narrators. They were so much bad as just okay. Also, where are the southern accents? If the story is placed in Cajun territory I want to hear the drawl, y'all.

The epilogue

I truly enjoyed the story and the performances, but the less than a minute epilogue made absolutely no sense and basically almost ruined the rest of the story for me

Sweet

Cute story! Loved the narrators voices. Hopefully there is more from this Author in the future.

This story will get your heart pounding

This book is one that will get your heart pounding. Be warm for triggers though. I wish book two was on Audible because it leaves us hanging, so if cliffhangers aren’t your thing be forewarned. There is a lot going on in this book, with deep emotions, personal trauma, laughter and dark energies. I give this book overall 5 stars, because the chemistry between Stella and Lark isn’t the only thing that makes this book worth reading. The overall feel and story of all the characters involved makes this story one that will touch your heart, make you laugh and scare the crap out of you.

I am not normally a woman that likes books with a little bit of suspense (thriller in nature not romantic) but this one hits all the right spots! Again, ask about triggers, because there are a few and I don’t want anyone having a reaction to them!

The spice is a nice and slightly steamy 🌶️🌶️ two peppers. Only a couple of spices scenes and both not that intense. For those that read other steamy books it’ll be mild, but for those not use to spice. It’ll get your toes a little wet.

I can’t wait for the next book!

Interesting

This one has a lot of things to unpack. They touch on multiple sensitive topics in the book , but it’s done with grace. I liked how they all became a family in the end.

The storyline was different in a great way from any I’ve listened to.

I really liked listening to Dream House. The characters were quirky and good-hearted. The family atmosphere of the tenants was heartwarming. The Epilogue with Tyler was disturbing. It didn’t fit with the rest of the story. Is there going to be another book? Is this a series?

Not bad, different

I liked it. Overall it is funny and cute, though there are some tough moments that I didnt truly understand the POV. This is not a happy go lucky book. It deals with some realistic issues that I personally have not experienced. Not even tangentially. I did however recognize and identify with being different than what society and your family expects of you. In that regard I identified with the MMC more than the FMC. I was a bit bored through the sex scenes
they arent why I read romance so it maybe just me but I drd enjoy the couples connection. All characters are terific, unusual and unique. At first you think, oh this person is going to be stereotypical but nope none are. The authors skillfully weaves each persons personality into someone original. I think I was most impressed by this and it leads me to want to learn more. So I have to ask, Where is book 2??
