Beck expects to hate Cal as he did back then, but Cal isn't who Beck thought he was: he's hardworking, passionate about revamping and diversifying his family's farm, and - far more shocking - he's gay, and interested in Beck.

But as much as they want each other, Beck has no intention of staying in Ames Bridge, and while Cal is technically out, he refuses to date openly. A real relationship seems doomed from the beginning, but love can be a powerful motivator for those willing to take a chance.

Cute

Quick and cute, a little heart wrenching but overall I enjoyed this a lot! I will be trying the next run the series :)

More steamy than any bodice-ripper!

With Cal and Beck, lust for each other was never the problem...

That Greg Boudreaux sure knows how to bring a book to life. Watch your blood pressure even if you are in your 20's!

Frenemies to lovers with farm boys

Beck is in between jobs and decides to take care of his late grandma's house. Cal is a farm boy through and through. After having no luck getting land from Beck's grandma, Cal decides to convince Beck it is the right thing to do. Beck is trying to decide if Cal is the same inconsiderate boy he spent time with as a kid or if he has changed for the better. I enjoyed dynamic between the two MCs. I am from a small farming community, and I can sympathize with Cal.
Boudreaux is one of my go-to voice performers. He does not disappoint when voicing Beck, Cal, and the other quirky characters. He portrays everyone's personalities and emotions. The dialogue between multiple characters was easy to follow.
This is a great high steam, small town romance. I will absolutely be relistening to this one.

Beck and Cal

I tried listening to this one once before, but I couldn't get into it then. I gave it another chance about a year later and so happy I did...I absolutely loved this book...I usually love Silvia Violet's works and I have recently come to love Greg's voice so glad I gave this another chance.

This is an excellent book. I can't believe I had hesitant on this one. listen to this one you won't regret it

cute story and great narratior

this is one of my favorite author Sylvia Violet . her stories are sweet and shows the sacrifices of two people who are really in love will do anything for each other.

This story was so full of cliches.
that I couldn't even complete it. Would not recommend it.
