About this listen

When Buck, the lead singer of Jems and Jamz, loses Olive, her girlfriend and lead guitarist to a rival band, her life takes a drastic turn. Just when everything seems like it is too much to handle, her band manager hires a new woman Ziggy to take Olive's place.

Ziggy is charming and challenges Buck with her overall talent, creating tension between the two. Buck does her best to get along with the other woman, but when the Ziggy threatens her spot on vocals, tempers flare.

Really Enjoyed This!

A friend recommended this book to me and I enjoyed listening to it. The narrator was excellent and the plot was original. Not being gay myself, but having a teenage daughter who is a lesbian, I was very interested to hear about the interactions between the women. I liked that it wasn't an issue in the plot that the characters were gay. It's more like they just happened to be gay, which was nice. I grew up in the 1980's so the idea that being gay these days isn't a major controversy is wonderful.

Good, quick, minimal stress story. I enjoyed that it revolved around a band. looking forward to learning more about the members.

Too short

I wished it was a bit longer I know there are other books in the series. It moves along very quickly and I guess sometimes life does. I did enjoy it and look forward to the next book

Great Rock & Roll Love Story!

Usually, when it comes to ordering my books, I will make sure that the story has at least 6 hours worth in order to consider purchasing it. This story has shown me that it is more about content than it is about length, and it is so worth the listen! The author does a wonderful job of coloring the image of what it is like as a lesbian rockstar under the public's watchful eye. Ziggy was so patient with Buck and it made my heart happy to watch them develop themselves through the story. Thanks for the listen!
