2021 Audie Award Winner for Best Romance Audiobook

An Amazon Charts and Washington Post best seller

From New York Times best-selling authors Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward comes an unexpected love story that started with a boy and girl and heats up when the man and woman reconnect.

I’d never forgotten him - a man I’d yet to meet.

Griffin Quinn was my childhood pen pal, the British boy who couldn’t have been more different from me. Over the years, through hundreds of letters, we became best friends, sharing our deepest, darkest secrets and forming a connection I never thought could break.

Until one day, it did.

Then, out of the blue, a new letter arrived. A scathing one - one with eight years of pent-up anger. I had no choice but to finally come clean as to why I stopped writing.

Griffin forgave me, and somehow we were able to rekindle our childhood connection. Only now we were adults, and that connection had grown to a spark. Our letters quickly went from fun to flirty to downright dirty, revealing our wildest fantasies. So it only made sense that we would take our relationship to the next level and see each other in person.

Only Griff didn’t want to meet. He asked that I trust him and said it was for the best. But I wanted more - more Griff, in the flesh - so I took a big chance and went looking for him. People have done crazier things for love.

But what I found could change everything.

Critic reviews

"Jacob Morgan and Andi Arndt share the narration of this highly charged romance.... Morgan and Arndt both emote as their characters exchange "dirty letters" and sexual taunts that grow steamier and more erotic, including descriptions of BDSM sex play." --AudioFile Magazine

"An anxious, agoraphobic heroine takes center stage in this optimistic contemporary from Keeland and Ward...Griffin and Luca’s letters are endearing and believably intimate.... Readers motivated to see this unlikely heroine succeed will forgive the more fantastical indulgences of this light, escapist romance." --Publishers Weekly

Omg Jacob Morgan British accent! 🔥

Once again Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward didn’t disappointed! Griffin and Luca were the cuties couple ever! I listen/read this book and omg I was in LOVE! Andi Arndt and Jacob Morgan did a fantastic job narrating! Griffin and Luca love story had me HOOKED from the beginning and I hopelessly fell in love with both characters and their dirty letters to each other. If your looking for a sweet drama free love story this is your book! I strongly recommend you listen to the audiobook while you read. Jacob Morgan’s British accent is hotter than hell! 🔥
The Dirty Letters was definitely a 5 star book in my opinion!

Great premise doesn't deliver

This book was not great but wasn't terrible either. I love the premise and wish the story had been developed more.
The connection between the characters wasn't developed enough in the beginning. When the "dirty" letters begin, it seems to come out of nowhere.
The letters, however, were a sanitized version of "dirty", which brought me out of the story to ask myself, "who talks like this?"
They weren't hot. They weren't sexy. They weren't "awkward adorable"; that sweet, corny phase that can happen at the beginning of a budding relationship. They read like letters teenagers would write, trying to sound sexy.
Once the characters met in real life, I thought the story would pick up. I was wrong.
I don't want to include spoilers but their first meeting almost ruined the entire book for me, up to that point. After all those years, THAT is how their first meeting went? And THIS is a romance? Don't get me wrong. Nothing particular happens in that scene. Which is exactly my point. That should have been a huge moment in the book, but it fell completely flat.
The remainder of the book was tiring to listen to and I couldn't help but wish that something would happen to snap Luca out of it. I understand mental health issues and I understand they can't be turned on and off like a light switch. But Luca comes off as not loving the hero as much as he loves her, which makes it hard to root for a HEA ending.

Divine.

This story is so perfect, it touches my soul. Another hit from my two favorite authors.

absolutely fantastic read

I read this book in one sitting! It was equal parts sad and hopeful. The way the authors dealt with a character living with mental health issues was one of the things I liked best about this book. I was pulled into the story from the first page and I can see myself revisiting this book in the future.

A great book with all the “FEELS”

This is a wonderful book that is well written and full of emotion. I laughed, cried, shook my head, rolled my eyes, and just fell into the story. It has depth and felt real. The characters are full and something that we can all find relatable. I loved it!!!

Sexy Rockstar but Tedious Woman

I enjoyed the sexy voice of Jacob Morgan as Griffin and the character was lovable, but I wasn't a huge fan of the tedious Luca character. Her hang ups and emotional issues were very depressing and it was hard to imagine that anyone would move heaven and earth like Griffin did for her. Some aspects of the story were just tedious and drawn out. but you can't beat Jacob with that British accent!

So beautiful

Griffin and Luca made me laugh, cry, and everything in between. This is a beautiful love story showcasing life, and love, aren't easy. I love everything I have read by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward, this is no exception.

Andi and Jacob weren't just narrating the story, they WERE the story. The emotion and depth they put in to every word, especially the bits that made me cry, were just breathtaking. They had me so enthralled I missed most of two full nights of sleep, and didn't even realize it. I will definitely be on the lookout for both of their names from now on.

Better Have a Box of Tissues Handy

What a wonderful story. Not at all what I expected. Dramatization was top notch. Vi and Penelope have hit a home run.
