About this listen

An all new full cast duet narrated series in the Mate Games world from USA Today best-selling authors, Meg Anne and K. Loraine. Includes the prequel novella Promised to the Night.

Roslyn Blackthorne is dead. Technically. I faked my death to get out of a loveless marriage, but that was only half the battle. To ensure my vampire duke can never find me, I have to run far and fast enough so he can’t catch me. Because if he does, it’s over. Not just my life—for real this time—but my entire family’s.

So how does the princess of the Blackthorne vampires disappear in a world where every supernatural creature knows who she is? Summon a demon, of course. Pan agrees to keep me hidden, help me start a new life…for a cost. And it’s not my soul he’s after. Oh no, he wants my blood…and my body. But so do they. The shifter twins. The cursed hacker. And, of course, my estranged husband.

Starting over should be easy after my bargain with the demon. New name. New job. New reality in a tiny town where no one would think to search. Welcome to Aurora Springs, Alaska, a sleepy place where everyone is hiding something and nothing ever happens. At least it was…until I arrived and people started dropping like flies.

It looks like I brought my past, and a whole host of other problems, with me. But that’s not a big deal, right? It’s not the end of the world or anything.

WARNING: The Mate Games: Pestilence is a spicy why choose series that is sure to set your…heart…on fire. If you’re not a fan of grumpy dukes with a penchant for pain, purple demons with fancy body parts, nosy hackers with boundary issues, angsty wolf shifters who like to share, sword crossing, and plenty of group activities, this one’s not for you. But if it is…welcome back to The Mate Games, we’ve been waiting for you.

WOW! what a treat for my ears!

Edited review. Warning, other books aren't out yet. boo hoo. Narration was top notch! Seriously an eargasm without the solid, interesting story. So much to absorb. It's my favorite! Paranormal, fast burn, erotic and still thrilling and an ever unwinding bigger picture that satisfies the perv, book worm, and sci Fi fiend! I'm getting next book now. what a dynamic duo these authors prove to be!

LISTEN to the PREQUEL FIRST

I just started this book, but luckily, I figured out that the prequel was at the end of the book before I listen to the beginning of the book so make sure you listen to the prequel first! I’m onto listening to the actual book now

Plot Twists

This series might be even better than the War series, and that is saying something considering how amazing those books are. Once again, the cast does an amazing job at narrating these characters. And the back to back plot twists right at the end of the book leave you needing the next book immediately. I can't wait to see how the authors bring all of these enemy characters together for Rosie's sake.

Narration Gets 5 Stars- Plot Only Gets 4

This wasn't as enjoyable as The Mate Games: War. Although I LOVE the twins and Asher, I find Gavin and Pan unhinged. I hate that she's with them.

I ALMOST returned it…but happy I didn’t

I won’t lie, I was apprehensive at first. I absolutely loved The Mate Games: War so I instantly wanted to proceed with this one but, again, was apprehensive with the male on male intimacy (just not my scene…or so I thought). Once I got into this book I LOVED it! And the characters…HILARIOUS! The perfect amount of spice and hilarity! The only thing I would change is there is too many sausages at the party, I love the twin energy but a demon, a husband AND a sexy hacker…I little to much I think.

Worth the listen for the cast alone!

I came upon this In suggestion on main page. I read reviews, but what attracted me was the praise of the cast. I hadn’t listened to more than two cast members before this. They were phenomenal❣️❣️❣️ I never wanted the story to end, yet I wanted to get to the ending. I was captivated. You should heed CW & TW. I thought it was mild for my taste on the warnings once listened, but you may not want to hear or read some of the things that happen.

The story is good. I plan to listen now to this whole series especially if it’s the same cast. I laughed largely in the beginning when Rosie got into the alcohol. I liked the fulfilling spice early and yet there was a slow burn to this story as well that plays out. In my opinion the spice could’ve been more and more detail. It felt tamed a bit.

I don’t like how the story abruptly ends. It’s more than a cliffhanger in a sense. The story finally starts taking real interest and done. All I could think of was the Sopranos ending though I never watched the show, but how everybody was mad on an abrupt ending. I get it there is a second book, but this book felt a little unfinished even if it ended with a cliffhanger.

There was but wasn’t enough backstory for the characters and maybe we’ll get more in the next book. The looming villain felt too far in the background. Sadly, a part of me thinks I figured out who the villain is even with little to go on. I hope I’m wrong per sé.

The story claimed MFC was hiding to protect her family, but I never felt the urgency of danger ever. There was a lot of talk about submission by MFC, that it got a little bit boring. I got immediately she liked to be submissive didn’t need the reminder constantly.

Like stated above this had potential to be far spicer and I feel like we got a Dark Disney line of spice which wasn’t enough again in my opinion. Bring on the spice please 🙏🏻.

Overall it is worth it again because of the cast. I’m not disappointed with spending a credit to get this chance I took. I’m pleasantly surprised and glad I found something new that is good. I suggest listening to this amazing cast rather than reading you won’t regret it. *I would have liked end credits to say which cast voiced which main character. I knew Asher was Teddy, but only figured out 2 of the other characters. I can guess, but I just would’ve liked to know.

Listen you won’t be upset you did.

There's no stopping K & Meg!!!

Deal with the Demon proves that K. Loraine & Meg Anne are plotting geniuses in the world of PNR. There should not be a doubt after The Mate Games: War that these two not only know how to write the dang story, but they know how to cast it, too. Could they do it again with Pestilence?

*Boom!!!*

Talk about leveling up with Demon coming out swinging. Add in two shifters, a human hacker, and a regal vampire, this vampire's half-human Princess has everything you could possibly need to keep the fires burning on a war winter night. But like all things K. & Meg it's not just the spice & kink that light up the pages. They have woven through plot lines we won't see pay off until the very last book and will keep us all enchanted for every single second of the journey.

Way to go ladies with another Mate Games story we can't put down whether it be in paperback, ebook or audio.

Ready for more Mates Games!

I was so excited to dive back into this new series of The Mate Games, Kim and Meg have a way of pulling you into the story and you won’t want to put it down until you finish. This story will keep you guessing what’s going to happen from start to finish and these two bring the spice. The story follows Rosie Blackthorne who faked her death to get out of an arranged marriage. I love Rosie’s character she is willing to do what it takes to protect her family even if it means losing it all. She is strong and fierce!

And then there are Rosie’s men, each different but oh so hot and you will absolutely fall in love with all of them! We have Gavin, the sadistic vampire Rosie is fleeing, Pan as the demon Rosie seeks out to keep her hidden, shifter twins, Remy and Ben that own a bar and take Rosie in and protected her. Asher the hacker who gives her a new identity and wants to stay out of it but can’t help but protect her also. I am looking forward to see how these relationships progress as the series continues.

This cast is absolute fire, and will definitely set your headphones on fire. Stella Hunter shines as she brings Rosie’s strength, innocence and fiestiness to life. John Hartley as Gavin bringing out his dominant personality. J.F. Harding as Ben bringing out his sensitive side and vulnerabilities. Jacob Morgan does a great job at delivering Remy’s sarcasm. Teddy Hamilton is perfect as the grumpy protective hacker and James Joseph is oh so good at being bad as Pan. Each one of these I am looking forward to see where this story goes and hear more from this amazing cast!

Great narration

Thoughts the narration was great. I love when there is a cast. The story was not my jam. I am not a fan of a bratty FMC. I think I would have liked the female narrators voice but since I didn’t like the character it got on my nerves after a while.
