Publisher's summary

This box set contains the first three stories set in the Danger Universe and is filled with deadly magic, non-stop action, and irresistible romance.

Hint of Danger

Lina wants the one thing a ghost can’t have. To be touched. When she’s given the opportunity to rejoin the world of the living and experience exactly that, the muscle-bound immortal warrior with icy blue eyes is just what the doctor ordered.
But while fate may have granted her a second chance at life, unraveling the mystery of who—and what—she used to be is the only thing standing between her and happily ever after.

Face of Danger

Hunted by her murderer, wanted by the Brotherhood, and struggling to remaster her powers, Lina will need to put everything on the line to reclaim her life. Failure isn't an option. Because losing means forfeiting the one thing she holds above everything else.
Nord.

World of Danger

Nord and Lina may have dealt with her murderer, but along the way they also managed to make lots of new enemies. Now the Drakes, the Brotherhood, and even the mysterious King of the Underground all want a piece of them.
One unhappy supernatural order they could probably handle. All of them at the same time . . . not so much.
But where do you go when there’s nowhere left to hide?

Undercover Magic Volume 1 is the first set of books in the Undercover Magic series, a steamy and suspenseful paranormal romance following a ghost and a berserker's chance meeting at The Monster Ball. Thankfully, the ball was just the beginning for these two fated lovers. So if you adore overprotective, ax-wielding heroes, smoldering sexual tension, supernatural secret societies, and loads of banter, you’ve just found your next listen!

Great banter!

After listening to The Mate Games which is co-written by Meg Anne and K. Loraine, I really wanted to know more about Nord & Lina, as well as some of the other characters who get cameos in that series. I was not disappointed!
This is a great listen with an interesting story line. There was a good mix of world building, plot, and character interaction to make the story move along well. I feel so invested in these characters and can't wait to find out more, especially Nord's friend Finn and the mysterious Fae prince, Cromby.
Stella Hunter and Shane East are two of my favorite narrators and they bring so much to this book with their accent work, character development, and emotional connection to the story. I am always happy to have them in my ears all day long.

Well Written, Excellent Performance

Three audiobooks in one, so first off it’s a great deal. Stella Hunter’s performance as Lina and all other female characters was perfection. This series is checking the right boxes for me: witty banter, strong heroine, spicy fun (would have loved a little more), plot twists, and secondary and tertiary characters who have a true purpose.

I really like the author’s writing style for this series, especially with how she organized all of the story arcs so far. A few arcs are introduced as the story progresses, and as you get further into the story, bits and pieces are brought to a close, which I anticipate means there won’t be a giant dumb of info at the end to wrap it all up.

Undercover Magic Books 1-3

Hint of Danger Lina is a ghost and had been watching over a specific apartment/building. She receives an invitation to a monster ball where has a body. She meets Nord and there is an instant connection between the two. Determined to help her discover who she was Nord takes her under his wing to protect her. While searching for who she is, Nord and Lina fight the attraction and not for lack of trying on Lina’s part.
I really enjoyed this book. It was short and sweet. Nord and Lina were so cute and the way Nord protects Lina from everyone. I loved the relationship between them. The audiobook for this was so good. Shane East and Stella Hunter were amazing in this one especially with it being Duet. God so good!

Face of Danger

SPOILERS AHEAD!
Lina has her memories back and there is nothing to hold back Nord now that they know there is no one she left behind. Still being hunted for reasons unknown, Lina has her uncle, cousin, Nord (her guardian), and Finley to help her navigate this new world.
I’m reallly enjoying this audiobook series. Stella Hunter and Shane East were so good with the narration. Their voices mesh well together.

World of Danger
After the revelations at the end of book 2, and everything that happened, Lina, Nord, Quinn, and Finley are on the run and hiding from the guardians, the fae king (Crowbie), and the other sorcerer’s. Forced to seek refuge on another world they head to Nord’s home, Novasgard. There they discover new secrets and leading to them finding out how to unbind Lina’s powers.
I am loving this series and I think what elevates it even more is the audiobook. The narration between Stella and Shane is so beautifully done. I am in love with their voices together.

Magic, Adventure, Suspense and Love! Yes Pls!!

3 book box set. This is the start of the series so you don't need anything more than a love of fantasy/paranormal romance and a rollercoaster of a suspense/adventure story.

We focus on Nord and Lina throughout all 3 books. It's a continuous story so you have to listen in order. Each book ends on a cliff (even book 3, there's a second box set to get the rest of the series) so be ready to binge.

Each book focuses on a chunk of the puzzle, but as you go along some of the pieces don't quite fit yet and get held in reserve. As I got to the end of book 3, I compared to to whack-a-mole, solve one thing to have something else pop up like "don't forget about me".

Book 1 is all about collecting information, learning the world a little (your knowledge builds over time, it's not like a massive dump on your head), learning our characters as best we can and building relationships. There are more questions than answers by the end of it.
Book 2 is discovery, we get some answers that just lead us to more and more questions. In the end, our characters are dealing with multiple threats, solving multiple puzzles and the Nord/Lina fires burn bright.
Book 3 takes us on a journey to recover and strategize, the team needs a breath and a chance to regroup. We wrap up some threats, learn more background for Nord and discover more about the world.

The stories are narrated in duet style, 3rd person perspective by Stella Hunter and Shane East. They both do an amazing job with the narration. There are so many personalities in these characters, accents, attitudes, emotions, it's so much fun to listen to the performances.

Slow, dragging, pointless plot

I'm 6 hours into this story and so far not much has happened. A lot of inner monolog, and no, don't do that by the MMC and complete disregard by the MFC. A lot of angst caused by the characters for themselves and not much progress in the story line. If you can make it the 20 plus hours of the story good for you. This is a DNF for me.
